Halloween Magick

All of these spells, can only be cast on All Hallows Eve. The difficulty of all of the spells, is 7 on All Hallows Eve, and 10 on all other Sabbat?s.

Light Jacks Lantern (Level 1)

With only minor gesturing, pumpkins can be turned into Jack?o?Lanterns.

System: Roll Halloween Magick and each success dictates the number of pumpkins carved and lit. They will glow eerily for the duration of the night.

The Paradox of tricks (Level 2)

If a ?trick or treater? asks for a treat and receives one. If they then proceed to attempt to trick the Hedge Wizard, then a worse fate will befall them. It will be along the same lines only 3 times worse.

System: Roll Halloween Magick and for each success, the hedge wizard can ?trick? the ?trick or treater? with a worse punishment. E.g. if they throw eggs at the house, then rotten eggs may appear in the unfortunates clothing.

The Headless Horseman (Level 3)

The wizard can summon an ancient spectre, one of the Headless Horseman. The Headless Horseman is a old legend of the decapitated knight, and the wizard has some control over him and this can cause chaos.

System: Roll Halloween Magick and the Headless Horseman will appear for success turns. The Horseman is in fact an old Wraith with the following stats:

Unlocking the door (Level 5)

By invoking this power, the Hedge wizard opens the doorway to all of the ghosts and ghouls of the mind and makes them flesh during the hours after the sun goes down. This spell requires some lengthy preparations. First the caster must collect:

Assuming the wizard survives the collection process, he must then meditate for 3 days on the spell. Before dusk on the Halloween, he must take the items and make them into a Broth, and drink it. If all of this is completed correctly, then everyone in the target area, city, state/county will be affected. The spell changes people into monsters during the night and during the day they have no recollection of the events.

System: First the wizard must collect all of the items required. Then the meditation roll is meditation + stamina (difficulty 7+1 per day). To make the broth is a simple Intelligence + cooking/crafts (difficulty 6). The wizard then decides the area to be affected. The roll for the spell is Halloween Magick (difficulty 5 for a small area, 7 for a city and 10 for a state/county). The duration of the spell is unusual, in the fact it is unlimited. It continues until the caster is killed. If the caster is killed before or after Halloween night, then the victims of the spell are changed until the nearest Halloween dawn (All Saints Day).

Some unusual effects of the spell are as such. Only Sleepers are affected. If a mortal has Psychic Phenomena or Hedge Magick, they may roll Willpower (difficulty successes x 2) to not be affected by the spell. Also if a mortal has True Faith, then their true faith is tripled, and they change into a representation of their deity e.g. an Christian may change into an angel, a Gaian (someone who believes in Gaia) may change into a elemental. Anyone else eg ghouls, enchanted may be affected normally.

The hedge wizard is not effected by this spell.
