History
Ankur was born onto the streets of Calcutta. From a young age he learnt
the value of being the toughest person on the street. This lead him to
street fighting. When he was just 15, he entered the Street Fighter tournament
and although he was beaten in his second match. This made him go after
training which would make him much stronger. So he decided to go to China,
Tibet and Japan in search of instruction. This brought him to the mountain
haven of Shozo Akasaka, a master of Karate who could manipulate his Ki
to strange effects. Sensing the potential energy in the youth, he took
him in and began to teach him, not only about martial arts, but also the
beauty of life. For a while this confounded him, but he slowly began to
understand.
After 6 years, he left and took a job as a photographer in Hong Kong. But after only a year he received a telephone call form Aiko Akasaka, his masters daughter. His master had been killed by a group of rampaging demons who had defiled the sanctuary. He was on the next train to the mountains. After only two weeks Ankur found the demons and sent them back to hell. Then he set upon the task of rebuilding the beautiful mountain sanctuary. It took him nearly a year to completely rebuild, and he asked Aiko to live there to keep it clean.
Now he has enough skills to enter the new Street Fighter Tournament
and this time face Rya himself....
