On this page I'll describe Neve's life before and after she became an actress. On October 3rd. 1973 Neve Adrianne Campbell was born in Guelph,Ontario Canada. Her father Gerry who is a drama teacher is orgianlly from Glasgow, Scotland. Her mother Marnie Neve is a psychologist from Amsterdam, Holland now runs a yoga studio. Her parents divoeced when she was a baby of two years old. Her brother Christian is 18 months older than her, also acts. When her parents divorced Neve moved with her dad to Tornoto (Canada). She started dancing at the National Ballet School of Canada at the age of 9. Following a trip to see "The Nutcracker" with her dad. She got a full scholorship to dance with school. While at the National Ballet School of Canada she perfomed in "Sleeping Beauty" and "The Nutcracker". While she attended the school she was trained in 6 different types of dance including: jazz, flamenco, modern, hiphop, and clssical ballet.At the age of 14 she had a nervous breakdown, and she dicided to quite dancing due to the cut throat compition.She also wanted to get back at the directors so she shaved her head and had her bun on top of a bald head, they weren't to happy.She had no friends in high school and everyone made fun of her. They made a song about all the ugly girls and she was dead last. She also remembers Valentine's Day the students could send cookies to each other and the only person who sent her a cookie was the teacher. At the age of 15 she dropped out of school. She took on other jobs she spent two months in modeling buisness and she found it shallow and unsatisfying so she quite.And after that it didn't take Neve long to find the job of her dreams. She audtioned for a part in "Phantom of the Opera." She won the part of a Gegas Girl.The audition was a cattel call audition 300 woman all auditioning. She also did commericals - the first was for the Eaton Center which is mall in Canada.She also did commericals for- Tampax, Coca-Cola and others.She was the youngest girl dancing with the Pentagas Theater. All the dancers admired her. She liked the audience because she got a direct responce from the audience. She met her furture husband Jeff Colt there. He was a bar tender at the theater at night and a day care teacher during the day. They moved in together when Neve was 17. After a long engagement they got married on April 3rd.1995 in England. On October of 1997 she offical requested a divorce, and he moved out. On Novemeber 6th. of 1997 he filed to finalize. Neve is also a spokeswomen for The Tourette Syndrome Foundation in Canada due to the fact her younger brother Damian has it. He was diagnoised with it when he was 10 years old. He has grown to work with the disoreder really well. When she first came to the US to get her face seen no-one wanted to deal with her because an earthquake just came through L.A. She did get the script for Party of Five and when she went to the audition all they had her do was read lines. They signed her immediatly they felt that she was perfect for the part. And due to Party of Five, Neve got her face seen and did some fantastic movies. |
