I met Alexandra Ceelie once at a convention a few years ago in
North Carolina. She was sitting behind a table signing autographs, acknowledging
comments from her fans with an almost shy smile. When my turn came, I handed
over a rather worn copy of Maelstrom Magazine bearing her cover and story inside.
With a raised brown she commented, "My, this is an old one...I don't even
have a copy of this anymore..."
Like an idiot, I couldn't speak...
I'd first read Alexandra's works on Delphi Internet Service in
a custom forum called "Nether Realms". Later, I found her in underground
publications, even collected her poetry. What she signed for me that day was
my favorite. A short story by the name of "The Caller." The first
time I read it I dreamed of Charlie for weeks afterword. All of her writing
seems to have this affect on me. Maybe that is why I decided to dedicate this
shrine to her.
btw...
Sorry to those who wrote me about the links I used to have being
"down." Apparently Maelstrom Magazine has moved. I just checked the
following though, so they should work. E-mail me if you have trouble. Alexandra
has moved her webpage a few times and it takes me a while to track her down
again because she doesn't post as often to newsgroups as she used to. :-)
THIS JUST IN...
Her new web page is HERE.
She has some secret stuff buried but I'm not going to ruin it for you. She's
also been spotted on alt.religion.wicca and alt.dreams.lucid. More as it comes
in.
