"Home
The night unfolds peacefully
as light fades from the day.
Sounds of gentle slumber,
Slowly creeping in our way.
A fire softly glowing,
In the fireplace near my chair.
As I sit and read my book,
It warms the winters air.
Children tucked into bed,
The clock ticks on in time.
Quiet breezes blowing,
Hearts beating in rhyme.
My life has been a blessing,
as I look around my home.
I see little things of love,
faithfullness never to roam.
God now lives with us,
In our country house you see,
And gives us many blessings,
Keeps us happy and worry free.
So thank you my dear Lord,
For the many things you've done.
For all those things unnoticed,
Even the setting of the sun.
The winter snows you gave us,
To let the sweet earth rest.
The spring soon coming,
You have given us your best.
With love and my devotion,
I shall always follow you.
And always lead my family,
To your word, holy and true.
