Father, Take Me Home.
I long for a place of quiet emotion,
Without strife or hurt.
There is no solitude here,
No caring heart for me to feel.
The stillness of empty space, a void,
Forgetfullness of mind,of love or care.
No free spirit, only enslavement and
Bonds I am too weary to break.
"Escape", my spirit once again free to roam.
To see the green pastures, the skies of blue,
Water at peace or in a great waterfall.
To hear the songs of birds on wing.....
To see the gates of Heaven open before me,
As I pray to be worthy and forgiven.
The touch of my Mothers hand,
The arms of my Fathers embrace.
Desperate in my attempts,
Gaining no ground.
I await the stillness and peace,
of the last beat of my heart.
My hope, my prayer, Father.
That my footsteps be in God's house,
and no longer upon the Earth.
I ask, Father, Take me Home.
