My Sister, my friend the memories we share.
The time we were children, and not always too fair.
We fought like the sibblings, that competed for the prize.
Yet always I loved you and saw love in your eyes.

You were the oldest of us girls there at home.
And always the wisest your light truly shone.
How I tried to be like you and do what you could.
To be pretty and funny like I thought I should.

Yet different we were in so much of our ways,
I could never measure up, not in all of my days.
Then we grew older and soon moved apart,
Miles of separations breaking my heart.

I love you now as your sister and friend,
And wish only that our lives would never end.
But as we know this was not meant to be,
For soon my sweet sis, you'll be leaving me.

Tears roll gently down my face now.
A life without you, to live I know not how.
All we shared, the memories we made.
The love in our hearts, never to fade.

May God be gentle and give you such love,
In his temple so high and his heart above.
To say I will miss you, is less than I feel,
But with all of my Love, you will know it is real.

Don't forget me, big sister of mine.
For someday I will join you,
In God's Holy time.
