Sleeping so quietly in your little bed,
With fairy tales and wishes filling your head.
We watch you slumber with hearts full of love,
Giving thanks for this blessing from God above.
Never could you know, my little child of mine.
How important you were, in this life and time.
How wanted you were and how much it meant
My knowing that you were simply Godsent!
It has been such a short journey, as I have watched you grow.
The "firsts" we have shared always will show.
I will always be thankful for God's sharing with me,
And letting you be in this world we see.
Please remember to follow his words and Walk in "His" Light.
For in this alone you will always do what is right.
