NO CLUE In the course of growing up, the one thing I have found, Is that nothing is as it appears. A smile does not mean a person is a friend. But only is what it is, A smile. No more, no less. A handshake is but a handshake. Doesn't mean the guys are close, Doesn't mean they even like or respect each other. It is but a handshake. A "lets do lunch" is a word process, not necessarily meant to mean they really want to go to lunch with you. Its but one of those things people say, when they have nothing to say. "lets do lunch" So long as the going doesn't get too personal, So long as the relationship isn't too confidential, So long as there is nothing of deepmeaning or seriousness, The "less do lunchers" will continue their way. There is no one out there that really wants to hear youre problems or woes. They have their own. They do not have the answers for you, Nor can they truly advise you correctly, most often. Their answers likely dont work for them, so why would they work for you? Those whom say "well, I'd do this or that" are the ones that generally does neither if anything when it their problem. They blunder along, just as you do, trying to figure out "what the heck happened" Life is short, though at times for some, it feels too long. It isnt fair, it isnt neat, and it isnt always filled with fun. It is hard, dirty work, and maybe, just maybe, If you are one of the very lucky ones, You will get through it with a bit of happiness that you will remember. We would like to earn more money, yet procrastinate at going to school to learn how. We work our 8 hours or so, go home to the wife and kiddies, kick our shoes off, watch a bit of tv. and go to bed, IF we are lucky. This world, as much as most would deny it, is not as civilized as many tend to believe. Mankind has become less civilized each year. He preys on his own kind. He robs, steals, and hurts his own. He feels it is "owed" to him, just because he exists. He sometimes acts like he is a true and caring Christian yet underneath is often a rogue. Life is painful. Hard at times And it hurts more often than not. And after the years of working and trying so hard to just make ends meet and provide decently for the family, the youth is spent, the hair goes gray (or just goes) the ole heart isnt strong, And the time is almost up. By then, you realize, that through it all, and all the things you've lived, felt and went through, weren't always enough. You hang on dearly to those little moments of time where there was a smile or laugh. The tender times you really "felt" loved. those few and short moments of your life. That is where the meaning comes through. Then and only then, do you have a clue. Then and only then can you really understand what living is truly about and know how to live! Not for tomorrow, but for today! For Tomorrow, may never come! Live each day you have as if it were the first And your last. Share the love in your heart, not The anger you may feel momentarily.
