    036.012 Lo! We it is Who bring the DEAD TO LIFE. We record that which they send before (them), and their footprints.  _AND_ EVERYTHING HAVE WE VESTED IN THE IMAM MANIFEST_WA_ KULLA SHAY-IN AHSAYNAAHU FII IMAAMIM MUBIIN.

    017.071 On the day when We shall summon all men with
their IMAM--IMAAMihim ... 017.072 Whoso is BLIND IN THIS - FII HAAZIHII  will be BLIND in the Hereafter, and yet FURTHER from the ROAD.

    002.207 and _OF_ mankind _IS HE WHO_ -- _MINAN_ - naasi- _MANy_  --
would sell HIS SOUL--NAFSAHU, seeking the pleasure of ALLAH
and ALLAH hath compassion on (his) bondmen.

    002.208 O YE WHO BELIEVE!
COME, ALL OF YOU,
INTO _SUBMISSION_--AAMANUUD
KHULUU FIS _SILMI_ KAAFFAAH --
AND _FOLLOW_ NOT THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE DEVIL.
LO! HE IS TO YOU  AN  ENEMY MANIFEST--MUBIIN.

also, in accordance with Allah's oft-repeated PROMISE in the Holy Qur'an, Insha'allaah AHMAD'S RELIGION OF TRUTH--DIINIL HAQQI - will conquer and prevail over all religion, however much the idolaters maybe averse --  HQ. 61:5-9; 4:175,176; 24:54,55; 9:32-33; 48:23,28-29 & 22:77-78.

*ASLIM-- SURRENDER* or -- *SILM--SUBMISSION.*

so the disbelievers in Allah's Revelations are not only DEAF AND BLIND but also they are not the TRUE muSLIMs. note that the word *mu_S_L_I_M_uun* -- contains Allah's command *ASLIM-- SURRENDER* or -- *SILM--SUBMISSION.* in other words, a faithful muSLIM is one who submits to Allah's command -- i.e., he is not deaf or blind to ALLAH'S REVELATIONS.

rather, he believes and submits to THEM. for example, the HOLY PROPHET (SAS) believed in the Revelations of Allah and thereby, became one of the Mu_S_L_I_M_iin:

   043.078 We verily brought the Truth unto you, but ye were, most of you, averse to the Truth.

   037.022 Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship. 037.023 Instead of ALLAH, and lead them to the PATH TO HELL; 037.024 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 037.025 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 037.026 Nay, but this day they make FULL SUBMISSION--musta_S_L_I_M_uun.

QUESTION:

a.     WHOM will these wrongdoers offer submission to on the Day of Separation?
b.     also, TO WHOM have the true believers SUBMITTED in this world?

they have done to Allah's Revelations, as per His Command only. they also go into PROSTRATION when REMINDED of them -- HQ: 32:15 -- see below.

  whose path is Sirataal Mustaqiim -- the Right Path?
  why is ALLAH guiding muslims to *the path of those--Sirataal-ladhiina*?
  and not to His or the path of ALLAH -- as per this Surah only?

   HQ. 001.005  THEE WE WORSHIP; THEE WE ASK FOR HELP.
   001.006  SHOW US THE STRAIGHT PATH -- SIRATAAL MUSTAQIIM,
   001.007  THE PATH OF THOSE ........ SIRAATAL-LADHIINA

    why did ALLAH JOIN/EXALT THEM unto Himself and His WORSHIP?
    why do muslims still worship Him in this manner **if they** worship Him ALONE?

rest assured, these are genuine and valid questions which need to be answered -- because the above Surah al-Fatihah was REVEALED by ALLAH Himself. See HQ: 15:86,87.

please allow me to reflect on these grave issues from another perspective:

 

ALLAH HIMSELF GUIDES TO THE  RELIGION OF THE IMAM!

please follow the trend of these revelations very carefully in order to understand the MEANING of SURRENDER-- ASLIM -- IN ISLAM:

    002.127 And when ABRAHAM AND ISHMAEL were raising the foundations of the house, (ABRAHAM prayed): .... 002.128 Our Lord! And make us SUBMISSIVE- -MUSLIMayni -- unto Thee and of OUR SEED A NATION SUBMISSIVE  unto Thee--ZURRIYYATINAA UMMATAM MUSLIMatal-lak -- and show us our ways of WORSHIP, and relent toward us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Relenting, the RAHIIM.

        002.130 And who forsaketh the RELIGION OF ABRAHAM [IMAM] save him who befooleth his SOUL? Verily We chose him in the world, and lo! in the Hereafter he is among the righteous.  002.131 When his Lord said unto him: SURRENDER--ASLIM ! he said: I have surrendered to the Lord of the Worlds--ASLAMTU LI-RABBIL ALAAMIIN.

     16.123 And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad): FOLLOW THE RELIGION OF ABRAHAM [IMAM], as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters.

006.161 SAY: LO! AS FOR ME [MUHAMMAD],
MY LORD HATH GUIDED ME UNTO:
    A STRAIGHT PATH--SIRAATIM MUSTAQIIM
   A RIGHT RELIGION--DIINAN-QIYAMAM
   THE RELIGION OF  ABRAHAM
[IMAM]--MILLATA IBRAAHIIMA
THE UPRIGHT, WHO WAS NO IDOLATER.

   006.163 He hath no partner. This am I commanded, and I am first of those who surrender--MuSLIMiin.

IMPORTANT:

as per the above verse, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAS) was INSPIRED as well, GUIDED to SIRAATAM MUSTAQIIM. it is not only the Right Religion [DIINAN-QIYAMAM -- OR THE RELIGION OF QAIM, which has a special significance in the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim Tariqah]; but also it is the RELIGION OF ABRAHAM (as), WHOM ALLAH CHOSE AS THE IMAM FOR MANKIND @ HQ: 2:124 and promised to continue the HOLY IMAMAT IN HIS SEED [pbuth]. In other words, IT IS THE RELIGION OF THE IMAM (SA) OF THE AGE!!

please note that although muslims have been asked to 'Seek the help of Allah,' as per Surah al-Fatihah, the Holy Prophet Himself (SAS) was COMMANDED by Allah to:

PROOF:
    establish Salat-Prayer from dawn to dusk,
    recite the Qur'an at dawn
    AND ALSO PRAY FOR THE POWERFUL
      HELPER FROM ALLAH'S PRESENCE.

if so, WHO was that *POWERFUL HELPER FROM ALLAH'S PRESENCE* -- He was asked to pray for? should or shouldn't the muslims in this day and age follow His example [HQ. 33:21] and this Qur'anic exhortation simultaneously [2:1,121,159; 6:114,155]?

PROOF:
    009.040 if ye help him not, STILL ALLAH HELPED HIM when those who disbelieve drove him forth, the second of two; when they two were in the cave, when he said unto his comrade: grieve not. lo! ALLAH is with us.

#1302.  but a more striking example was when the apostle was hunted out of mecca and performed his famous hijrat.  his enemies plotted for  his life.  he had already sent his followers to medina.  ALI HAD VOLUNTEERED  to face  his enemies in his house  (a.yusuf ali, pp. 452).

WHAT IS ISLAM, IF ALLAH HIMSELF COMMANDS
ALL OF YOU -- BELIEVERS -- TO SUBMIT TO ALI?

please read and review the following Qur'anic presentation in the light of the above Qur'anic, hadithic and historical facts and vice versa because that is very important to understand ALLAH's Revelation and Command re: Hzt. Ali (as) and HIS DIVINE ROLE IN ISLAM.

     002.209 and if ye slide back after the _MANIFEST PROOF--BAYYINAATU_ have come unto you, then know that ALLAH is mighty, wise.   002.210 wait they for naught else than that_ ALLAH SHOULD COME UNTO THEM_ in the shadows of the clouds with the angels ?

an intelligent and objective reading of these stupendous verses will show that not only did not Allah leave this world without *the Ever Living Imam (SA) of the time and age* -- and the Muslims bidden to RECOGNIZE HIM -- but also there was much more to it than what was/is apparent initially.

in addition to the Qur'anic, hadithic and historical facts given above -- it is clear that ALLAH Himself had separated ONE INDIVIDUAL ONLY, for His remarkable services to Islam. He was an ideal of voluntarism in Islam. had it not been for Him NEITHER Islam NOR the Holy Prophet (SAS) would have been.

He was Hzt. Ali (as), the FIRST HOLY IMAM (AS) OF THE MUSLIM UMMAH then -- since the Holy Prophet (SAS) had asked the muslims to given HIM the oath of allegiance, after Hzt. Ali (as) was declared as the IMAM AND MAWLA, in accordance with Allah's oft-repeated command. see HQ. 2:27, 5:7, 67; 13:19-25; 15:86-95; 17:71,72.

                                       BESIDES THAT ALLAH COMMANDED THE BELIEVE

QUESTION:

    "COME INTO SUBMISSION--SILM" TO WHOM? please follow the trend of Qur'anic revelation again in order to under this grave matter:

   note that disobedience to ALLAH's Command was/is synonymous
    with *FOLLOWING* Satan -- an enemy  MANIFEST --  _M_U_B_I_I_N_

IMPORTANT:

     in the next verse ALLAH speaks of His Own MANIFEST PROOFS --_B_A_Y_Y_I_N_A_A_T_

   if, Satan was MUBIIN--MANIFEST OR PRESENT -- with his seed [HQ. 18:50];

    THEN, ALLAH'S OWN *BAYYINAAT--MANIFEST PROOFS OR REVELATIONS*  HAD TO BE --  WERE ALSO *ZAHIR--PRESENT* IN THE WORLD.
:
    AND STILL FURTHER, ALLAH CHALLENGES YOUR INTELLECT AND INTELLIGENCE BY SAYING: *WAIT THEY FOR NAUGHT ELSE THAN THAT ALLAH SHOULD COME UNTO THEM  IN THE SHADOWS OF THE CLOUDS....?*

and why so???

     BECAUSE that was/is precisely how muslims have had perceived their God--Allah from the very beginning -- despite His Manifest Proofs, REVELATIONS and exhortation thereof. the very foundation of the Holy Ramadan is based on the same as follows:

if the HOLY PROPHET (SAS) was one of the MANIFEST PROOFS [98:1,2], then WHO were the others with Him? as just mentioned, despite this clear exhortation in the Holy Qur'an, the early muslims were more than satisfied to worship a transcendent and unknowable God.  

even so, your fasting will be of no avail to you if you REJECT THE MANIFEST PROOFS OF ALLAH and follow your own lust instead. *their likeness is as the likeness of the ass carrying books,* says Allah [62:05].

SUBMISSION [SILM]  --MEANS--   FOLLOWING 
SHIA & SUNNI SOURCES -- FOLLOW ALI:

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY THE BELIEVERS -- WERE/HAVE BEEN COMMANDED TO COME INTO SUBMISSION [2:208], TO ALI, THE ONLY INDIVIDUAL ALLUDED TO IN VERSES 2:207,209.

THIS SECOND TYPE OF MAN [2:208], -- firm sincere, devoted, willing to give his life for the faith that is in him--was common in early islam .... that is what established islam.

c.  34    khadija believed, exalted in faith above all women; ALI, THE WELL BELOVED, then child of ten, BUT LION HEARTED, plighted his faith, AND BECOME FROM THAT MOMENT THE RIGHT HAND OF ISLAM  (ibid. pp. 6 & 10).

267a  THE WORD 'SILM' MEANS PEACE AS WELL AS SUBMISSION. in fact, COMPLETE SUBMISSION to God is ..... [the holy qur'an - arabic text english translation and commentary -- maulana muhammad ali, pp. 87].

s.v. mir ahmed ali:
vr. 207   (231)  the sunni commentators (viz. tha'labi, ghazzali, and the author of ahyaul-uloom)  and all the shia commentators are unanimous, saying that this verse was revealed in praise of ALI WHEN HE READILY SLEPT IN THE BED OF THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD, when the latter in response to the the will of his Lord, had to suddenly migrate from mecca to medina.

'SILM' means here the inner circle of islam called 'IMAN.' .... WITHOUT FOLLOWING ALI, the muslims after the departure of the Holy Prophet Muhammad had fallen easy  victims to the whims and fancies of unqualified leadership ....

hadith --  qadiani source:

khaibar was only a little distance from medina and from here the jews found it very easy to carry on their intrigues.  with this intent, the prophet (some time in august 628 a.d.) marched to khaibar.  he had one thousand six hundred men with him.  khaibar, as we have said, was a well-fortified town. it was surrounded on all sides by rocks on which were perched little fortresses.  to conquer such a place with so small a force was no easy task. the small posts lying on the outskirts of khaibar fell after a little fighting.  but when the jews collected themselves into the central fort of the town, all attacks on it and all forms of strategy employed against it seemed to fail.

ALI did not wait.  he took his men and attacked the central fort. In spite of the fact that the jews had collected in force inside this fort, ALI and his division were able to conquer it before dark.  a peace agreement was signed.

    OUR REVELATIONS-AAYAATIINA --
    WHO, WHEN THEY ARE REMINDED OF THEM,
    FALL DOWN PROSTRATE-SUJJADAANW --
    AND HYMN THE PRAISE OF THEIR LORD,
  AND THEY ARE NOT SCORNFUL,-----------

who/what are these REVELATIONS IN ISLAM TO WHICH PROSTRATION is also due???

     043.068  O My slaves! For you there is no fear this day, nor is it ye who grieve;  043.069 who BELIEVED OUR REVELATIONS-- AAYAATINAA and were self-surrendered--Mu_S_L_I_M_iin  043.070 Enter the Garden, ye and your wives, to be made glad.

ithna'asharite commentary:
vr. 30  (50) ' wallazeena kafaru wa kazzabu BI-AAYAATINAA - meaning 'as for those who disbelieve and belie OUR SIGNS.' the question arises as to what the SIGNS OF GOD are? the words 'aayaat' has been  translated by some translators as 'the verses' (of the book). it is not a complete meaning. the actual or the literal meaning of the word 'aayaat' is sign and "aayaat" is the plural of 'aayat.' a sign is an object or an action which draws attention towards some objective PERSON or event.  the verse of the holy qur'an is, no doubt, an' aayat' in the sense that it draws attention of the reader towards  its meaning.

and GOD'S SIGNS in the perfect sense of the meaning of the word can be only those BEINGS WHOSE HOLY PERSONALITIES .....

no doubt every apostle of God was during his time a SIGN of... JESUS in vr. 21:91 is called an 'aayat,' a sign [s. v. mir ahmed ali pp. 94].

ALI being awarded the following epithets exclusively for himself as none else before or after him could ever have earn any one of them:

055.026 EVERYONE THAT IS THEREON WILL PASS AWAY; 

055.027 THERE REMAINETH BUT --  THE FACE OF THY _LORD_--WAJHU _RABBII_KA, _ZUL_ -JALAALI WAL-IKRAAM -- _LORD_ OF MIGHT AND GLORY    

 

MEANING: ALI, THE IMAM (SA) OF THE AGE, IS THAT PRE-EXISTENT & ETERNAL  -- WAHJULLAH -- FACE OF GOD -- REFERRED TO IN THE HOLY QUR'AN FREQUENTLY.

also please note that the word 'Lord' has been mentioned TWICE -- _RABBII_ & _ZUL_ -- in 2 different contexts. therefore, try and look at the DEEPER MEANING of these Divine words.

            THE *ZAHIR WAL BAATIN -- MANIFEST AND THE HIDDEN* ALI:

vr. 27:40 (1699)  -- it is recorded in khulasatul manjah of tha'labi who is of the renowned sunni commentators that abdullah bin salam asked the holy Prophet as to who that was who presented the queen of sheba on her throne to solomon.

Hebrews 7:1 For this MELCHISEDEC, KING OF SALEM, PRIEST-IMAM of the most high God [EL-ELYON - & - AL-ALIYYUN], who met Abraham ... kings, and blessed him; Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation KING of righteousness, and after that also KING OF SALEM, which is, KING OF PEACE; Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, HAVING NEITHER BEGINNING OF DAYS, NOR END OF LIFE; but made like unto the Son of God [DIVINE]; ABIDETH A PRIEST--IMAM CONTINUALLY.

   017.071 - 72  ON THE DAY WHEN WE SHALL SUMMON ALL MEN WITH THEIR IMAM--IMAAMIHIM
      WHOSO IS BLIND IN THIS--FII HAAZIHII WILL BE BLIND IN THE HEREAFTER, AND YET _FURTHER FROM THE ROAD._

DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE HOLY IMAM'S (SA) PATH IS THE ONLY TRUE PATH IN ISLAM?? 

further, if these scriptures are correct or right then when, how and from what was THE FIRST NON-HUMAN *IMAM* CREATED? Islamic traditions say that there have been 124,000 prophets and 100,000 Adams since the beginning of the world. as such, there must have been IMAMS as well, during their eras. the Holy Prophet (SAS) was also guided to the Religion of an IMAM [pbuth] during His Mission:

  093.007 DID HE NOT FIND THEE WANDERING AND GUIDE (THEE)?

in short, when He accepted Allah's guidance to the Holy Imam's [pbuth] Path and the Right Religion, the Holy Prophet (SAS) also gave up His freedom and democracy because Allah had decided His affairs. no one is greater than Allah and His Messenger (SAS).

006.110 We confound their hearts and their eyes. As they BELIEVED NOT therein at the first, We let them wander blindly on in their contumacy.

049.014 The desert ARABS say: We believe. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): YE BELIEVE NOT, but rather say "We submit--aslam" for the FAITH-IIMAAN -- hath not yet entered into your hearts. 049.015 The (true) believers are those only who believe in ALLAH and His messenger and afterward doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their lives ... 049.017 They make it a favour unto thee (Muhammad) that they have SURRENDERED-- ISLAAM. Say: Deem not your SURRENDER--ISLAM -- a favour unto me; but ALLAH doth confer a favour on you, inasmuch as He hath led you to the FAITH--IIMAAN, if ye are earnest.
