in the light of my original discussion and what i have discovered recently
- the heading of this article should be:
WHO ELSE CAN FORGIVE SINS IN ISLAM
AND PURIFY -- BESIDES ALLAH --
THE BETRAYERS & BETRAYAL OF
ISLAM?

by ALLAH's infinite grace and mercy, i
discovered a very sinister plot in martin lings' book viz., *MUHAMMAD - his life based on the earliest
sources* -- as i was preparing my response to akbarally
meherally's recent attack on the shia
islam in general and our tariqah in particular.
please allow me to share this very important
discovery with you as well, warn
my muslim brethren throughout about the real dangers of this book, which in my opinion, is more harmful to the cause of true islam -- as a whole than
anything else that i have seen on the
market recently. and as such, i have decided to incorporate the said discovery
into this write-up.
but first, let it be known that this important section deals with
the divine Concept and Revelation of the *NOOR--LIGHT* in ISLAM and the Holy QUR?AN. that it may be too
heavy for most of you, especially those of you who are not given to deep
meditation, contemplation and reflection on spiritual matters such as this.
however, what follows next is not only crucial to a muslim's
spiritual life here and in hereafter but also it is directly related to the
matter under discussion viz., *WHO ELSE CAN FORGIVE SINS IN ISLAM AND PURIFY -- BESIDES ALLAH??*
rest assured, both matters are very closely linked together and almost
inseparable for some inexplicable divine reason. ONE
cannot be divorced from the OTHER or even be
understood without the OTHER.
take the following examples for instance, wherein martin lings, a pro-sunni
muslim -- western author and an expert on sufism in islam,
asserts:
i.
the purpose of the ablution in islam is the removal of inward [batan, navali] impurity, symbolized by various
modes of outward [zahara,
navali] impurity
or, ?..
ii.
at the highest level its conception is expressed in the already quoted saying of
rabi?ah al-adawiyyah, ?thine existence is a sin with which no other sin can be compared. [martin lings, ?a sufi saint of
the twentieth century,? pp. 182-183].

HQ. 004.049
Hast thou not seen those who praise themselves for purity? NAY, ALLAH
_P_U_R_I_F_I_E_T_H_ whom He will, 004.050 See, how they invent lies about Allah! That of
itself is MUBIIN?MANIFEST SIN.
HQ.006.120 FORSAKE THE OUTWARDNESS ? [ZAAHIRAL] OF SIN
AND THE INWARDNESS ? [BATIINAH] THEREOF.
006.152
Say: Come, I will recite unto you that which your Lord
hath
made a sacred duty for you: ? and that ye draw not nigh
to
lewd things whether open - [ZAHARA] or
concealed - [BATAN].

iii.
?the meaning of defilement [hadath]?, continues the shaikh, ?is ephemeral existence
[huduth], that is, existence other than God. this is not ousted from the heart
of the gnostic, and its film is not removed from his inward [batana, navali] eye to be replaced by
his sight of Eternity, save through his FINDING the WATER and his PURIFICATION therewith. except he be PURIFIED by IT, he is far from the Presence of
his Lord, unfit to enter it, let alone sit therein.
iv.
thus passeth he judgment upon most creatures that they
are guilty of defilement, ?. nor is the stain of guilt removed from existing
things but through PURIFICATION with this ABSOLUTE WATER. once purity hath been achieved, that is, once he hath washed the outward [zahara, navali] appearance of things
in THIS WATER ? nay he has washed his own sight therein ? --- [martin lings, ?a sufi saint of the twentieth century,? pp. 182-183. see also pp. 55,125].

bujayr had already -- but in vain ?
urged his brother [ka'b]
to _G_O_ to the
_P_R_O_P_H_E_T_ and
_A_S_K__H_I_S_ _f_o_r_g_i_v_e_n_e_s_s._
HE SLAYETH NOT him who cometh
UNTO _H_I_M_ _I_N_ _r_e_p_e_n_t_a_n_c_e._ ?.
..... one of the helpers leapt to his feet and asked to be allowed
to cut off his [ka'b] head, but the prophet said: "let him be, for he hath COME IN REPENTANCE and is no longer as he was. then ka'b recited an ode which he had composed for the occasion. ... but the gist of it was to BEG
FORGIVENESS. it ended with a passage ?
in praise of the prophet..... which begins:
the messenger a LIGHT,
IS SOURCE OF LIGHT ....
when he had finished, the prophet drew off his stripped yemeni
cloak and threw it over the shoulders of the poet in recognition of his mastery
of language (?, navali).

please note that according to the Holy Qur?an and martin lings? -- sufi--mystic source, both forms of purifications
viz., internal [zahara] and external [batan], were necessary to advance in your spiritual search. and as
such, the PURIFING WATER was also necessary!
a.
and that being the case, what was/is that purifying water?
b.
where do we get it from in this day and age?
c.
did the Holy
Prophet (SAS) offer that form of purification, if ever?
d.
but then, was HE A PURIFIER as
well?
e.
and even the PURIFYING WATER
itself?
rest assured, the Qur?an based answers ? and a few
hadiths quoted by martin lings himself -- will shock
most disbelievers like akbarally meherally, shenlyara and nur iman(?), etc.
but more importantly, in the above example, the
man--ka'b -- came to:
A.
?ask for __h_i_s_ forgiveness;?
B.
and ?in repentance to __h_i_m._?
C.
he also _R_E_C_O_G_N_I_Z_E_D_
D.
"the MESSENGER as A Light
E.
And Source Of Light.?
the aforesaid, being one of the DIVINE principles and foundations of the true islam, which,
the pagan arab and enemy of islam, turned repenter had __R_E_C_O_G_N_I_Z_E_D__ just before his conversion and entry into
islam.
AL-NOOR--THE LIGHT
and centuries later, al-ghazzali [1111 ? 505 ah], a world-renowned asha?rite sufi?mystic and
theologian asserted:
praise to
ALLAH! who poureth forth LIGHT ?
and prayer for MUHAMMAD! of all lights THE LIGHT
[the niche for rights, mishkat al-anwar, pp. 75]

the Prophet [peace be upon him] therefore said:
*ana min NURULLAHI
-- i am from the LIGHT OF GOD
wa khalaq kul luhum MIN NURI --
and the whole creation is FROM MY LIGHT.
[secret of ana'l-haqq, pp. 59]

it was this to profound recognition only -- that the Holy Prophet
Himself [SAS] had also reciprocated in kind. in
other words, ?the Mercy unto the _W_O_R_L_D_S_ -- [HQ. 21:107 ? ?muhammad - his life based on the earliest sources,' * pp.
100], _F_O_R_G_A_V_E_ _H_I_M_ and set him
free, as may be adduced and deduced from a few more
examples -- cited by martin lings in the said book which, apparently, akbarally meherally had endorsed
110% -- see below.
then He, the Prophet [SAS]
gave him -- that cloak -- because of the truth and honesty that He, in turn
recognized in him, too. in short, THE TRUE ISLAM
is about the ?NOOR--LIGHT, FORGIVENESS AND TOLERANCE,? which the new muslim had
learned firsthand from the Holy Prophet Himself [Sas].
having said that, please read the following with an
open mind, your god-given intelligence and faith--iman as well, take your
knowledge and wisdom further ? i.e., beyond these words wherein lies the -- esoteric--batin -- truth of islam -- as revealed by ALLAH and, reiterated, witnessed and/or
experienced by some of the greatest prophets & mystics of the centuries and
millenniums past -- including mansur al-hallaj, jalaledin roumi, hafiz, bayazid
bostami, spinoza, socrates, Jesus Christ
and the Holy Prophet [pbuth], etc.
PURIFICATION & MEDITATION:
1.
HQ. 002.125 and when we made the house a resort for
mankind and sanctuary : take as your place of worship the place where ABRAHAM [IMAM -- HQ. 002.124] stood. and we
imposed a duty upon abraham and ishmael,:
__P_U_R_I_F_Y__ MY HOUSE for those who go
around and those who __M_E_D_I_T_A_T_E__
therein and those who bow down and
__P_R_O_S_T_R_A_T_E__ themselves.
2.
the immediate result of these visions was that solitude became dear to
him, and he would go for spiritual
retreats to a cave in mount hira. .... for retreat had been a traditional practice among the
descendants of ishmael, and in each generation
there had been one or two who would withdraw to a solitary place from time to time ... muhammad would take with him provision and consecrate
a certain number of nights to
the worship of god.
ramadan was the traditional month of retreat, and it
was one night towards the end of ramadan, in his fortieth year, when he was
alone in the cave, that there came to him an angel in the form of a man. the angel
said to him 'read' .... ['muhammad - his life based on the earliest sources' * pp.
43].

please note Allah?s 2-fold COMMAND re: the Holy House:
1.
take as YOUR PLACE of worship
the PLACE where ABRAHAM [IMAM?2:124] PRAYED.

and we imposed a duty upon abraham and Ishmael
__P_U_R_I_F_Y__ MY HOUSE for those who go
around and those who __M_E_D_I_T_A_T_E__
IMPORTANT:
according to Allah himself,
there was/is a PLACE -- [IMAM ABARAHAM?S] ? WITHIN THE HOUSE
which, was/is more important than the rest. and as such, muslims were asked to
take that place as their
place of worship as
well. that is, the IMAM?S
PLACE OR HOUSE is more important and the TRUE PLACE OF WORSHIP, PURIFICATION
AND MEDIATION IN ISLAM.
and although, most 'exoteric--shariati or sunni muslims' do not believe in the above
Qur?anic injunction or even subscribe to this *esoteric?BATAN--practice ? MEDITATION* -- it
had been an integral and intrinsic part of THE TRUE
ISLAM since its revelation 1420 plus years ago. this
then, is the qur?anic origin and foundation of our faith & the ISMAILI Tariqah.
says al-gazzali [died 1111 ? 505 AH], the world famous ashar?ite
sufi-mystic and theologian:
i. even
so did the prophet say: ?the Qoran hath an outside
[zahir, navali], and an inside [batin,
navali], like a wall with a watch-tower above it.? or perchance it was ali who
said this, since its lineage stoppeth short at him. -- [vide: martin lings, ?a sufi saint of the twentieth century,? pp. 177].

in addition, says martin lings:
the summit of his [the Holy Prophet [SAS], navali], ascent was the LOTE TREE of the uttermost end.
so it is named in the koran ... at this SUMMIT OF THE
UNIVERSE gabriel appeared to him in all his archangelic splendour, even
as he was first created. then, in the
words of the revelation: when there enshrouded the Lote
Tree that which enshroudeth,
the eyes wavered not nor did it transgress.
verily he beheld all the signs
of his lord, the greatest.
according to the commentary, the DIVINE LIGHT DESCENDED upon
the Lote Tree and enshrouded it all else beside, and the PROPHET BEHELD IT without wavering and without
turning aside from it. such was the answer -- or one of the answers-- to the
supplication implicit in his words: *I TAKE REFUGE
IN THE LIGHT OF THY COUNTENANCE.*

of the many renowned books that the biographer martin
lings has written. his biography of prophet muhammad (p.b.u.h.), unlike
any other, is based on the arabic
sources of the eighth and ninth centuries. hence, the meticulous
biography that we read below owes its freshness and directness of approach
to the words of the men and women who heard
the prophet speak and personally witnessed
the
events of his life.

unfortunately, it seemed as
though akbarally meherally had accepted whatever he found in martin ling?s said book -- including the praise and/or DENIGRATION of the Holy Prophet (SAS), islam in general and
shi?ism in particular. but then, he is already known for doing that. take for
example, he REVILED the Holy
Prophet and His Ahl al-Baiyt?Household [pbuth] and other muslims, too -- when
he followed the late rashad khalifa?s cult in the mid-late 80?s, as you know.
and in spite of this overwhelming QUR?ANIC & non-shi?ite evidence just
cited, most or all of it will be REJECTED by some of the UNENLIGHTENED muslims amongst
us because, according to them -- this is still an outrageous form of idolatry.
but then, little do they know or understand that ONLY
ALLAH GUIDES TO ?HIS NOOR?LIGHT? WHOM HE WILL [24:35].
028.068 thy Lord bringeth to pass what He willeth and chooseth. they have never any choice. glorified be ALLAH and
exalted above all that they associate!

THE TRUE ISLAM resonates and revolves around the divine
concept and reality of:
ALLAH, THE LIGHT-1
-- THE SIMILITUDE OF HIS
LIGHT-2
-- LIGHT-3 UPON LIGHT-4

THE HOLY PROPHET'S [SAS] DIVINE NATURE --
?AND THE LAMP GIVING LIGHT-5
WA SIRAAJAM MUNIIRAA? [HQ: 24:35, 33:46]
the Divine concept of *5-FIVE NOORS--LIGHTS* -- is one of the most
important, if not the most important REVELATIONS
OF ALLAH in islam, the Holy QUR?AN and ALLAH's multifarious
universal creation from that primal, primordial and timeless origin ? both in
the physical and spiritual realms and anything in between.

on _P_A_G_E__6_8_ martin lings says:
the true believers are defined as they who set their hopes on MEETING US, whereas the disbelievers are
they who set NOT their hopes on MEETING US ?. and FAIL to treat OUR SIGNS AS SIGNS ? HQ: 10:7.
the believer's
attitude must be the opposite in every way. an aspect of dreamlike illusion in
which the infidels were sunk was to take for granted the blessings of nature.
to be awake to reality meant not only shifting one's hope from this world to
the next but also marveling in this world at -
THE SIGNS OF GOD WHICH HERE ARE MANIFEST:

blessed is he who hath placed in the heavens
the
constellations of the zodiac, and hath placed therein
A LAMP AND A LIGHT GIVING MOON!

frankly, the above fanciful advice and depiction -- is nothing
short of an outright but subtle deception. in order
to grasp its full meaning and my following contention you must first of all understand that:
i.
martin lings was a pro-sunni christian with a private agenda of his own.
ii.
he was asked to compile the said book ? perhaps, in
accordance with the saudi wahhabi agenda and teachings, as is clear from his
writings and flagrant distortion of material facts cited by him.
iii.
regardless, here we have a conflict
of interest between the 2 parties.
iv.
and as such, we can surmise where his deepest loyalty
lay then, despite the fortune he stood to amass from such a joint *anti-shia* venture.
v.
moreover, as far as he was concerned, the fourth gospel of john declared that jesus was, 'the LIGHT of the world.' -- john 1:7 the same [john the baptist], came for a witness, to
bear witness of the LIGHT [jesus], that all men through him
might believe. john 8:12 then spake jesus again unto them, saying, i am the LIGHT of the world:

irrefutable
facts re: HIS PRIVATE AGENDA:
a.
martin lings was obviously aware of these biblical claims, when he undertook the islamic
project per se.
b.
he was also aware of the controversies surrounding the
non-biblical trinity and divinity of the
christ jesus, son of mary _A_N_D_ the holy ghost [luke 1:34];
c.
and/or, the inexplicable *word - logos - god - made flesh & the 1+1+1=1* conjecture, etc., -- that stemmed from it & john i
5:7 ?for there are three that
bear record in heaven, the father, the word, and the holy ghost: and these three are one;?
d.
which as it turned out, was a SPURIOUS
interpolation of a later period.
e.
and to this effect says he, ?according to the koran, jesus is both
messenger of god and also his word which he cast unto mary, and a spirit from Him, and as it had been with the
WORD-MADE-FLESH, so now analogously, it was ? ? -- ['muhammad - his
life based on the earliest sources' * pp. 68].
And more significantly, as an expert on sufism in islam and the one, well acquainted with al-ghazzali?s monumental works on sufism--mysticism in islam, [see martin lings? earlier publication viz., ?a sufi saint of the twentieth
century,? pp. 56,112f,123,124,125,127f,130, 135,169,77f,183,185,230]. Etc.,
He knew precisely why Allah had placed the Holy Prophet (sas) in such a high position or
pinnacle by declaring him ?_and_ summoner unto allah _and_ a lamp that giveth light?wa siraajam muniiraa? - [hq.
33:46].
says al-ghazzali:
i. praise to ALLAH! who poureth forth LIGHT ?
and prayer for MUHAMMAD! of all lights the LIGHT
[the niche for rights, mishkat al-anwar, pp. 75]
II.
the archetypal spirit of muhammad,
the heavenly man created in the image of god, and regarded as the COSMIC POWER on whom depends the order and
preservation of the universe .... [ibid. pp. 42].
III.
064.008 believe in Allah and
His prophet and the light which We caused
to descend. and again, 004.174 there
hath come a sure proof from your Lord, and We
caused a clear LIGHT to descend ?
[ibid, pp. 93];
IV.
?ALLAH created adam __A_F_T_E_R__ THE __I_M_A_G_E__ of the
merciful -- [rahman] ? or the tradition, ?Allah created adam after his own
image? -- [ibid. pp. 56,58,85,115, 134-135,].

V.
this is the phase of PURIFICATION. from the second standpoint this fragmentary ego has ceased to
exist, for it has been abosorbed into the person of THE PROPHET who represents a hiearchy of different plenitudes of which the lowest is
integral human perfection and the
highest is Universal Man [Al-Insan Al-Kamil], who personifies the whole created universe and thus
anticipates, as is were, the infinite, of which he is the highest symbol [martin lings, ?a sufi saint of the twentieth century?
-- pp. 125]

first, please note carefully that the
above SPIRITUAL RECOGNITION comes only AFTER
the SPIRITUAL PURIFICATION and not
otherwise!
and second, despite these irrefragable facts and his prior
knowledge thereof, martin lings clearly FAILED to
include the said QUR?ANIC
REVELATION & its interpretations
-- in his latter book. this fact alone speaks volumes.
he did it in spite the fact that he had also spoken of the Holy
Prophet?s [SAS] spiritual
retreats on page 43-45 and spiritualism in general, including ?Allah being the
Light? ? see pp. 102126,211,316,328-30. this in essence was/is
sufism?mysticism in islam per se. likewise, there was not a single reference made to al-ghazzali or his works on sufism.
martin lings took advantage of the fact
that most sunni muslims did not even meditate upon such spiritual matters
and, have had very little, if any knowledge about the divine concept of *NOORUN ALAA NOOR--LIGHT UPON LIGHT' -- [HQ.24:35] -- in islam, the Holy QUR?AN and ALLAH?s perpetual
universal creations ? both material and spiritual, etc., which, in spite of all
the scientific & technological advances made by man transcends the human
mind.
010.101 say: behold what is in the heavens and the earth!
but revelations and warnings
-- aayaatu wan nuzuru --
avail not folk who will not
believe.
.----
in short, in addition to his personal agenda, martin lings?
main objective and task then, was to somehow widen
that gap between the shias and sunnis by diluting or countering every
important shia hadith and event with false or fabricated sunni hadith re: the same matter. so right of the bat, we were left with -- 2-two
diametrically opposite views or versions of every major event and/or hadith in
islam. hence, any attempt to reconcile these 2 contending
sects of islam -- was doomed to fail from the get go, as one may discern from
the following.
BETRAYAL OF ISLAM
additional facts:
i.
although, he had quoted some one hundred or more QUR?ANIC verses in his 360-page book or
narrative;
ii.
as well, translated, paraphrased or quoted an untold
number of sunni hadiths based on arabic sources of the eight and nineth centuries;
iii.
together with a few important shia hadiths -- garbed under clear sunn?ite contexts and connotations only,
iv.
martin lings failed completely to include or make mention of
the following 2 verses, in the above context too -- [_P_A_G_E__6_8_ - see above].

033.045,46 o prophet! lo! we have sent thee as a
witnessand a bringer of good tidings and a
warner.
_and_ a summoner unto ALLAH by his
permission,
_and_ a lamp that giveth LIGHT
_wa_ siraajam MUNIIRAA.

and here's a another plausible reason for his failure
or its total exclusion!
allah himself had _E_Q_U_A_T_E_D_ the prophet
AND a
summoner unto allah
AND a lamp that giveth light --
wa siraajam muniiraa [33:46]

to
:
*the lamp and a light giving moon --
siraajan wa qamaram muniiraa* -- [25:61 & 71:16].

D_I_V_I_N_E__E_Q_U_A_T_I_O_N__
rest assured, this is one of the most
significant __D_I_V_I_N_E__ EQUATIONS FOUND
in the Holy QUR?AN and the Religion Of Islam ? authored and revealed by ALLAH
for all mankind.
yet, martin lings deliberately left it out
--
in order to undermine or lower the Holy Prophet's [SAS] Supreme
Status in the eyes of muslims, if not the world at large.
remember this man had a private agenda
of his own besides what he was asked to do by the saudi wahhabis. his christian
faith was more important to him, as you can see now. he knew well that no
muslim would ever argue with what the Holy Qur?an says about the christ jesus,
son of mary [pbuth]. and as such, he MISUSED
the Holy Qur?an. here?s the proof thereof.
despite the said OMISSION,
it does not mean that he did not make mention of the Holy Prophet's [SAS] epithet viz., 'GOD'S
SUMMONER' at all. believe me he did! but not so without betraying his
own conscience and the islamic truth, as he knew it then.
please review the following indisputable facts for -- NOW -- and you be the judge.
1.
not
only did he exclude completely verses HQ. 33:45,46 -- [O Prophet ?? and a
Summoner unto Allah -- and a lamp that giveth light* -- wa siraajam muniiraa];
:
2.
but also he mentioned the first epithet
[God?s Summoner -- by citing in part __O_N_L_Y__
hq. 46:30-31 and NOT 33:45,46] -- some 32 pages later at pp. 100;
3.
that is, from the original
context cited at _P_A_G_E__6_8_ -- see above;
4.
and more importantly, he did
so in a very different, denigrating &
misleading context and connotation;
5.
in order to perhaps, BELIE THE HOLY QUR?AN per se;
6.
as well, LOWER the Holy Prophet?s [SAS] Supreme
Or Divine Status on the one hand;
7.
and INCREASE that of the christ jesus [as], on the other, by knowingly misusing the Holy Qur?an per se ? as well;
8.
playing on the emotions and sentimnets
of the muslim people themselves.
insha?allaah there?s more to come.
