Napiera Danielle Groves joined the cast of AS THE WORLD TURNS on August 23, 2001 in the role of Bonnie McKechnie, the snooty daughter of Jessica Griffin and Duncan McKechnie. Upon returning to Oakdale, Bonnie's days of jet-setting are a thing of the past as she is forced by her parents to make an honest living.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Groves received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Howard University. Named Miss Congeniality in the 1997 Miss USA Pageant, Groves has graced the stage on Broadway in Dreamgirls. In addition, she has starred in regional theatrical productions of As You Like It, Jelly's Last Jam and Oliver! The actress has also appeared in television shows such as Live from L.A. and Buy the Book. Her film credits include Sacred is the Flesh, Warner Brothers' Airborne and HBO Pictures' Only in America.
