Bible Study 6
As you can see, I had a really hard time finding the perfect title for this one. The LORD has laid it on my heart really heavy this time. You will see as you read this one, it has touch many bases according to the LORD and HIS Word. I am not sure if I will be able to say everything that is laid on my heart. But, I going to do my best and try to cover everything.
OBEYING/BLESSING/CORRECTION
Blessings that we receive from the LORD are given to us for the things we do as well as for obeying him. Some are blessed more than others, and I am sure the LORD has HIS reasons as to why this takes place. What I mean by blessed more than others; getting beyond what we need or ask for. I am sure it has a lot to do with the fact of obeying as well as giving.
Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have
done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
You may not think that it is fare one should receive more than someone else. But you are wrong for feeling that way. That is the same as; 10. Thou Shalt not covet.
Here is an example;
If your child disobeys you, would you reward (bless) him/her for doing so? I don't believe you would, even if you don't have any children yet. So if you wouldn't do that for your own child, then why would you expect to receive something (Blessing) from your FATHER in Heaven, if you don't obey. HE expects you to obey HIM just like your own father on earth expects you to obey him. When you disobeyed your parents growing up, what response did you get from them? Did they punish you or reward you for disobeying? We all know the answer to that question, I'm sure. I am a mother of two sons, I can't imagine how they would of turned out, if I rewarded them for their wrong doings.
Our LORD is no harder on us than our own parents.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be
zealous therefore, and repent.
The difference between HIM and our parents is HE don't make mistakes. Our parents are very capable of making mistakes just like us. They are made of flesh as well. Now we should not use our flesh as an excuse for our mistakes. Even though the Scripture tells us;
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The
spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
We all know right from wrong as well as know enough of GOD'S word.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and
doeth it not, to him it is sin.
When we choose to disobey GOD'S word or choose to do wrong. We should expect our LORD to respond to our wrong doings.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be
zealous therefore, and repent.
That is HIS way of teaching us to obey HIM. We should make right what we make wrong. HE teaches us to forgive as well as ask for forgiveness for our wrong doings. HE loves us and wants to please us. But if HE wants you to doing something that you don't want to do, that is the same as disobeying HIM or rejecting HIM (word). Our LORD is perfect! HE is the best role model we could ever want to follow. HE wants us to be like HIM, that is in the Scripture!
Romans 12:1-2..(1). I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2.) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We should want to be more like HIM! In order to be more like HIM, we will have to sacrifice ourselves. There is something I remember very well, it is written on a plaque I bought. It is very true! It goes as;
The will of GOD will never lead you where the grace of GOD cannot keep you. He wants the best for all of us. That is what this Scripture tells us;
James 1:17.............Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
The gifts we receive from HIM is HIS way of giving us blessings. HE is not going to give you something bad, nor is HE going to make you do something bad.
Guys, I hate it for you, but I am going to walk all over your toes! From the very beginning with Adam and Eve, you have been given authority over the family and home as CHRIST is over the church.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as
Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
We depend on you for everything. Your children look up to you and want to follow your ways. You are the most important role model they have. If you refuse to walk and obey GOD, then why should they follow HIM. It is your responsibility as a man to carry that load even if you don't want too. If you want the recognition that is your GOD given right as a man of GOD, then be the man you are suppose to be and walk as a man of GOD and obey HIM.
If you want babied go to mommy! If you don't want the responsibility don't have a family to begin with! We know you are not CHRIST and don't expect you to be perfect. We know you are going to make mistakes, but as the Scripture tells us;
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and
doeth it not, to him it is sin.
There is no excuse for it, when you do it willingly! It is when you try
to do your best to follow the LORD and fall, then we would be there
for you to pick you up and support you. Every woman who walks
with CHRIST, looks for a man who walks and abides in the LORD as
well. This is a GOD given right every woman has, is to choose the
man she wants as a husband. We want a man who is willing to obey
GOD'S every word as well as be a godly father to our children. If
you want a godly wife, then be a godly man! Don't expect the LORD
to provide you with a godly wife, especially if you refuse to obey
HIM. Like I said, HE wants the best for all of us. That also includes
a soul mate as well. If you obey the LORD like you are suppose to
and ask the LORD to provide you with a godly soul mate. HE will do
so, you may have to wait a little while, but HE will give you what you
want. As the Scripture says;
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive.
This is very true, if you don't believe in it, it is because of lack of
faith. I hope I have made it clear as to what is expected of us as
Christians. I know as well that I have hit man harder. But
like I have said, GOD expects a lot more from you! The Bible uses
the word "Man" more for a reason!
CHURCH
I have listened to a lot of preaching on the church. How the church should have unity, and it is suppose to. I have gone through some changes in my life as far as my church is concern. I have been visiting a new church. I have learned from this just what my old pastor was talking about. The pastor of this church was asked to resign today and he did. What time I have been around him, he has been a real blessing to me. I don't know the details as to why he was asked to. But from being there today, the church was half empty. Those that were there was crying, at least most of them was crying. They didn't want them (pastor & family) to leave. One of the men went before the church and read some scripture and spoke. From listening to him, this church has from what I can understand a rotation of some kind. From what I understand, they will bring a pastor in for a while ( a year maybe) and then tell him it is time for him to leave so someone else can come in. This is what this man was talking about. He didn't agree on it when they started with it and He didn't agree with it today. Now I have been told a lot about this church from someone who I know very well. But from past experience, I have learn to just listen to them and not judge. I gave this church a chance, now from what I have learned today. Everything this man told me about this church seems very much real to me, since I was there to witness it with my own eyes. Weather it was the way this pastor preached GOD'S word that some of them felt as though it was not GOD'S way. If they had problems in the past with some of the other pastors, I don't know. But I do believe if a man preaches GOD'S word the way it is suppose to be preach and you don't like it. I hate it for you, but that is not a good reason for this church to ask him to leave. Like I have said, his preaching really touch my heart as well as others that were crying. From what I could tell, it was not the pastor, but the church itself. I try very hard to walk according to GOD'S word and I do talk to HIM a lot. I talk to GOD more than I talk to anyone else, to be honest with you. I know in my heart the LORD will not lead us down the wrong path. Maybe that is why HE wanted me to go to this church, to get first hand experience of what I have been taught. I am sure there are many reasons as to why HE wanted me to go there, I knew this church was not a permanent place for me to begin with. Here is some scripture on unity of the church:
Church: speaks of the people (body of CHRIST) who make up the church,
not the building.
ROMANS 12:5....So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one
members one of another.
Psalms 133:1 <<A Song of degrees of David.>> Behold, how good and
how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! {together…: Heb. even
together}
Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace.
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of
the stature of the fulness of Christ: {in: or, into} {stature: or, age}

Psalms 122:7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be
one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
1 Corinthians 1:10 ¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all
speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined
together in the same mind and in the same judgment. {divisions: Gr. schisms}
Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord,
of one mind.
1 Peter 3:8 ¶ Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be
pitiful, be courteous: {love as: or, loving to the}

1 Cor. 3:1-9
1 ¶ And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even
as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet
now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye
not carnal, and walk as men? {divisions: or, factions} {as men: Gr. according to man?}
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 ¶ Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord
gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the
increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward
according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
{husbandry: or, tillage}
John 17:11 ¶ And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.
Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one,
as we are.
