Bible Study 5
Don't know what to do?
Pretty much of everything you want to know is written in GOD'S Word.
There maybe some things you can't find, or they are just not there. Before
you make a decision on what to do, ask yourself 4 questions first:
1. Would it be helpful if I do this?
2. Will it hurt someone if I do this?
3. Will it hurt me if I do this?
4. WILL IT GLORIFY GOD!!!!?
GOD'S word provides us with 4 things:
1. Doctrine (What to believe and do)
2. Reproof (Recognizing sin and disobedience)
3. Correction (How to change our lives)
4. Instruction ( How to live our lives)
TheTwelve Tribes
The twelve tribes names are the son's of Jacob, as well as two grandson's from one of
his sons, Joseph (Jacob and Rachel):
Reuben- son of Jacob and Leah (wife)
Simeon- son of Jacob and Leah
Judah- son of Jacob and Leah
Issachar- son of Jacob and Leah
Zebulun- son of Jacob and Leah
Gad- son of Jacob and Zilpal (handmaid)
Asher- son of Jacob and Zilpal
Dan- son of Jacob and Bilhah (handmaid)
Naphtali- son of Jacob and Bilhah
Benjamin- son of Jacob and Rachel (wife)
Ephraim and Manasseh are sons of Joseph.
Levi (Jacob and Leah) did not become a tribe, but priest. Jacob is the son of Isaac,
who is the son of Abraham. As you know, JESUS is the seed of David, who comes
from the tribe Judah. The twelve gates in heaven is named after the twelve tribes. The
twelve were given land, where the Levi (tribe) was scattered throughtout the land of the
twelve tribes.
Rapture
As the Bible tells us. JESUS went to be with the LORD to build us a mansion. That
way we will spend eternity with HIM. Did you know one rapture has already taken
place. The day CHRIST was curcified (Mt. 27: 51-54). We all, dead or living, will be
taken up. We will face judgement before our LORD (1 Cor. 3: 11-15; 2 Cor. 5:10) for
our works to receive our reward (5 Crowns listed on Devotion's page, click above).
Then the marriage of the LAMB will take place (Rev. 19: 7-9). Then the Glorious
appearing, when CHRIST comes back with HIS Saints to punish those who did not
believe (2 Thess. 1:7-10).
The first step of obedience
Romans 6:4
4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like
as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Once we repented and accepted JESUS as our SAVIOUR. We are commanded by JESUS (Matthew 28:18-20) to be baptized. This baptism is to show our public confession for JESUS CHRIST.
This is done by being baptize by immersion and not being sprinkled with water as some do.
There is no reference to sprinkling or pouring water over our heads:
Matthew 3:16
16. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of
the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw
the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
According to this verse, JESUS walked out of the water!
John 3:23
23. And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because
there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
Acts 8:38-39
38. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went
down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he
baptized him.
39. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the
Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he
went on his way rejoicing.
