"Met In The Stairwell"
You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11, 2001. Neither will I.
I was on the 11th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say, "Good bye." I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is ok…I am ready to go." I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words, and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.
I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 year's." I said; "of course I will show you the way home - only believe on Me now."
I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his flock in heaven. He heard my voice and answered.
I was on all four of those planes in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.
I was in Texas, Kansas, and London. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?
I want you to know that I saw every face. I know every name- though not all know Me. Some met me for the first time on the 86th floor. Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; "Come to me…this way…take My hand." Some chose for the final time to ignore Me. But, I was there.
I did not place you in the tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?
September 11, 2001 was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end and I will be there for you as well. Seek me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are "ready to go." I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

THE LIGHTHOUSE MOVEMENT
A message from Rev. Jarvis Ward, National
Facilitator of City and Community Ministries for The
Mission America Coalition:
God is using The Lighthouse Movement in a
significant way as Christians across the nation
prepare for September 11th Remembrance Services.
The LHM themes of Prayer-Care-Share are integrated
throughout the entire outreach effort and are vital
to the impact of this national outreach. Here's
why:
CHURCH RESOURCES
The Free Pastor's Packet, which can be downloaded by
going to www.911remembrance.com, provides bulletin
inserts on Prayer, Care and Share for the Sundays
preceding September 11th. Current Lighthouses are
using these as resources in their ongoing Lighthouse
ministry. Local Churches are also using the
Pastor's Packet to recruit other Christians/members
into the Lighthouse Life-style.
INDIVIDUAL LIGHTHOUSES
As individual Lighthouses are praying for and caring
for at least five people now through September
11th, Lighthouses are being encouraged to personally
invite those they have been praying for and caring
for to attend the September 11th Remembrance
Service. Free reproducible invitations are also
included in the Free Pastor's Packet.
REMEMBRANCE VIDEO
A September 11th Remembrance video has been produced
with 3 minute segments each on Prayer-Care & Share
that can be shown during worship times or in Sunday
School settings leading up to the Remembrance
Service. These videos are produced in such a way
that they can be used months after September 11th to
motivate and instruct Christians in the Lighthouse
Life-style. A special 6 minute video, with powerful
testimonies from NYFD Firefighters and an invitation
to hope in Christ, is available to be shown at the
September 11th Service.
MEDIA RESOURCES
In addition to the faithful prayers of thousands of
Lighthouses, TV commercial spots being shown in many
cities promoting the September 11th Remembrance
Services. To find out more about the TV spots go to
www.faithhighway.com. Many Christian radio stations
will be sharing Public Service Announcements (PSA's)
promoting the Services. Special PSA's for secular
radio have also been produced and can be downloaded
at: www.911remembrance.com. Local newspapers will
be doing special stories. If you would like to make
sure the media in your city/community has these
resources and the News Release, please go to the
911remembrance.com site and forward them to your
media contacts or call your local media and ask them
to visit the site.
LIGHTHOUSES SHINE ON
After the September 11th Services are over,
Lighthouses will continue the Lighthouse life-style
of prayer-care-share for those they invited to the
services. This might include an invitation to
return to the church the following Sunday (September
15) for Sunday School or worship, or to begin a
Bible study by using some of the Lighthouse
resources found at: www.lighthousemovement.com.
The next two weeks of mobilizing Churches in America
to prepare for a September 11th Remembrance Service
are crucial. We invite you to join with tens of
thousands of Christians across America who are
praying by name for at least 5 people whom they will
invite to a September 11th Remembrance Service where
those who died would be honored, and where the hope
of the Gospel would be presented to those who
attend.
Please pray and invite other Christians to pray that
our Lord will do a mighty work in the lives of
people who have yet to come to know Him. Remember
to visit the www.911remembrance.com site and pass it
on to others!
Let's trust the Lord for many new Lighthouses as a
result of many people becoming new Christians in the
days leading up to, on and after September 11th!

Thousands perished in the September 11 terrorist attacks, but thousands more met the tragedy and its aftermath with courage and strength. The following profiles document the actions, reactions and perspectives of several unsung heroes from that tragic late summer day.
Check back to CNN.com as we add more heroes profiles in the coming weeks and watch CNN TV on September 11, 2002 for video profiles of these and all the CNN Heroes of 9/11.
As you can see from the two pictures above, this is the clean up of the World Trade Center.
This is the building located next to the towers, the side was taken off so they have covered it.
We have purposely stayed away from the many, many of these, but this one is applicable beyond just Sept 11. - gcr
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not there to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me
I know you'll miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love
But when I walked through heaven's gates
I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me
From His great golden throne
He said, "This is eternity
And all I've promised you
Today for life on earth is past
But here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last,
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
So when tomorrow starts without me
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me
I'm right here in your heart.
This moment of silence message is dedicated to all the thousands of innocent people who died in the horrible incident that took place on Tues. Sept. 11, 2001.
