John 2:16</div> <div> "gave them over" - God withdrew His _<U>restraining</U>__ hand.</div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>RESULTS</B></div> <div> V. 26-27- sexual _<U>perversions</U>_ of all kinds.</div> <div> ***Once the _<U>Bible</U>_ is abandoned, there is no _<U>authority </U>_ to declare _<U>homo</U>_ to be _<U>sinful</U>_.***</div> <div> In 1993, President Clinton appointed _<U>17</U>_ homosexuals to public office.</div> <div> He said:  "You're part of my _<U>dream</U>_ for _<U>America</U>_."</div> <div> It used to be that Bible commentators expounded Romans 1 from the viewpoint of _<U>1st</U>_ century _<U>Roman</U>_ world with _<U>Nero</U>_, etc.</div> <div> When God abandons people to _<U>wickedness</U>_, they become………..</div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>Verses 29-31</B></div> <div> America's problems are _<U>spiritual</U>__, not _<U>economical</U>__, _<U>political</U>__, or _<U>educational</U>__!!!</div> <div> We are to be _<U>silent</U>_ in this _<U>decaying</U>_ world.</div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>"The Loss of Conscience"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>I. Timothy 4:1-5, I. Peter 3:16, Titus 1:15</B></div> <div> <B>II. Cor. 1:12, Acts 23:1, 24:16</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>NOTES</B></div> <bR> <div> It is possible to _<U>lose</U>__ your conscience.</div> <div> We are not _<U>born</U>__ with a tolerance for _<U>profanity</U>_, _<U>nudity</U>_, _<U>vulgarity</U>__, _<U>violence</U>___, etc.</div> <div> We _<U>grown</U>__ into it.  We get _<U>condition</U>_ to it.</div> <div> We can _<U>lie</U>___, _<U>gossip</U>__, and _<U>criticized</U>___ so much that we do it without any feelings of _<U>guilt</U>_ whatsoever.</div> <bR> <div> God _<U>hates</U>__ sin!!!!  It is abomination to Him.  It makes Him _<U>sick (Vomit)</U>_.  It is _<U>contrary</U>__ to His very _<U>nature</U>_.</div> <div> Sin is compared to _<U>vomit</U>_ and sinners are the _<U>dogs</U>__ who lick it up.  Sin is compared to _<U>mire</U>__ and _<U>sinners</U>__ are the _<U>hogs</U>__ who love to _<U>wallow</U>__- in it. (II Peter 2:22)</div> <div> Sin is so terrible that it sends people to _<U>Hell</U>_ and keeps people out of _<U>Heaven</U>_ and separated from _<U>God</U>_.</div> <div> Sin is an act by which man says: "_<U>Move</U> over God.  I'm in _<U>control</U>_."</div> <div> Man does not want to _<U>own</U>_ up to His own _<U>sin</U>_.  He will:</div> <div> A- _<U>cover</U>__ it up  (Gen. 3:7)</div> <div> B- _<U>justify</U>_ self (Gen. 3:12)</div> <div> C- become _<U>unaware</U>_ of own sin (Matt. 7:3, Ps. 19:12-13)</div> <div> ***Sin has become so _<U>common</U>_ _<U>place</U>_ in America.  We have become _<U>use</U>_ to it and our consciences have been _<U>harden</U>_.***</div> <div> _<U>A</U>_ _<U>B</U>_ _<U>C</U>_ is the leading network for sexual _<U>perversion</U>_.</div> <div> _<U>Married with Children</U>__ is not an innocent show.</div> <div> Every _<U>4</U>__ minutes, there are jokes about _<U>sex</U>_.</div> <div> _<U>85</U>__% of comedies have at least one _<U>sexually</U>_ joke.</div> <div> _<U>5</U>_% of TV characters practice some form of religion.</div> <div> The average family watches _<U>49</U>_ hrs. of TV per week.</div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>MOVIES</B></div> <div> The making of movies changed in the _<U>1950`s</U>_ because of the threat of _<U>television</U>_.  There used to be a _<U>moral</U>_ code.</div> <bR> <div> This was replaced with a _<U>rating</U>__ system.</div> <div> Movie _<U>renting</U>_ has allowed Christians to bring into their homes things they would _<U>never</U>_ allow otherwise.</div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
