I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought
can be withholden from thee. {no thought can be…: or, no

"Things to come" (Rev. 1:19)
In the Old Testament, the 2nd coming of Christ is mentioned more times than the _first_ __coming__.
In the New Testament, His 2nd coming is mentioned _320_ times!
False teachers have taught that Christ's second coming is :
a. The _death__ of a believer.
b. Pena cost_
c. The _destruction_ of Jerusalem.
d. At the _conversion_ of a sinner.
The 2nd coming of Christ will take place in_2_ stages; the _rapture__ and the _finial_ return of Christ to earth.
THE RAPTURE
The rapture is typified in the _Old_ Testament; God's pattern has been to _rescue_ the righteous before judgment of the wicked.
a. Rescue of _Noel____.
b. Rescue of _Lot__.
It is not God's revealed _nature__ to destroy the righteous with the wicked.
(I Thess. 5:9-11)
The promise of the rapture is found _only_ in the N.T. and primarily in the _letters__ to the churches. (I Thess. 4:13-18)
In the epistles the rapture and second coming is called the "_Day__ of _Christ_" (Phil. 1:10,2:16, I Cor. 1:7-8, 5:5)
Revelations 4:1 speaks of the _fulfillment_ of I Thess. 4:13-18. John is _taken__ in the spirit to heaven _before_ the judgment on earth begins!
