Thank you for visiting. Please help yourself to a cup of coffee.
Allow me to use this site to introduce myself to you.
But first, please don't forget to take off your shoes, as this is a tatami (Japanese floormat) website.
I'm a 33-years-old Syrian living in Japan.
What I do in life is work as a journalist and study for my Ph.D. in film studies.
The picture to the right is of my hometown Misyaf, which is located in the Mediterranean mountains of Syria. The Castle of Misyaf is (barely) visible in the center-right.
Below is my family's home in Misyaf, overlooking an olive grove.

This site contains:
- My Resume
- Academic info such as my academic interests and what I will be writing about for my Ph.D. thesis.
- Career info explaining what kind of journalistic work I do and sample works.
- Details on ADAD (The association for the Development of Arab-Asian Dialogue), an association I have founded with a group of Arab and Japanese students and artists in 2001.
- Personal details with pictures of my family, hometown, friends, life in Japan etc.
My Latest News:
