This will benefit you greatly in the future. We have a lot of information to be disseminated this year.
Some of you may not have heard yet but, we have expelled Mr. Burton from the Association. It was
Regrettable, but necessary for the integrity, and credibility of our Association.
Our training program is up and running! Connecticut is approving our manual as soon as we make a couple of corrections!
And unlike those other "training programs", we don't require you to purchase any additional books to line the instructors pockets, nor to boost their own created image.
Our class fee is ALL INCLUSIVE! NO HIDDEN OR EXTRA FEES!
The next class is scheduled for the weekend of March 24th, 2001 in Falls Church, VA.

A bunch of people are starting to update and renew. Thank you for helping us to help you. There is one minor problem with these updates. We need a "real" photo, a copy of your current credentials, and a copy of your drivers license. We are also initiating Criminal records checks.
As some of you already know we have found one member to have an active warrant and that individual has been expelled. The days of send in your money and get your credentials are gone.
It's time to start policing our own.
All members have until 15 JULY 2001 to submit a Criminal records check from your State Law Enforcement Agency. We will need either an original or certified copy.
Take a look at the "Non-Members" page if you think that this is a joke.
Credentials will ALL have an expiration date three years from date of issue. That will be retroactive. We have reports of counterfeit ID's out there. This is one reason for the change. We apologize for any inconvenience which this may cause. The general consensus at the convention was that the credibility of the Association is more important than personal feelings.
NOTE: As stated on the fees page, 3 Year dues have been raised to $250 effective 1 March 2001. This has been posted for over 4 months. This is necessary due to increased operating expenses with legislative activities.
We are eliminating the "691" AND THE "901" numbers for the Office.
The new number is: (703) 534--4211.
New York State the Secretary of State has reportedly stated that it is up to us to prove that the required bond is unobtainable. What needs to happen is the following: All members need to make three attempts to obtain the required bond from different sources. you need to be rejected by three different sources. Send us copies of those rejections. Then we can get the bond requirement changed to the Insurance which is available to you the member in good standing of the NABEA.
Do NOT attempt to take these laws on yourself. This is why you are a member of an Association. The only Association that has substance to offer the states that they want? that is the answer to the question that they all ask. "Whom do we sue?" The Answer would be (for those who have taken advantage of it)... the Bail Enforcement Agent and his Insurance. The States are going to force it on us, so why not get on the bus before it starts to drive away?
