Volkswagen (Porsche) Type 82 Kübelwagen

Kübelwagen was during the Second World War, the German equivalent of famous "US Jeep" and will become even more famous under the name of "Ladybird". With the origin it was to be a question of a cheap and robust car for the German people, ordered by Hitler in 1938. The vehicle proved so reliable and not expensive to manufacture, that the German army was interested and asked to Porsche to develop military alternatives including the amphibious vehicle "Schwimmwagen" and of course, Kübelwagen.

During the war, Kübelwagen was intensively used in roles of reconnaissance and liaison, but so medical. It known a great success within Wehrmacht and was also appreciated adversary which called it "Volkswagen jeep".

Mercedes-Benz 320 Model 1939

1764 Mercedes-Benz 320 was produced from 1938 to 1940 and some 1764 were made. This light personnel carrier was propelled by a Daimler-Benz 3.2l (gasoline) - 6 cylindres - 78 hp. It could be transport 2 men in add of its 2 crewmen.

Horch Type 1a (Kfz.15)/Steyr 1500A

Horch 1a was a vehicle intended for the transport of personnel for Wehrmacht whose development began in the medium from the Thirties. If Horch 1a were produced only during the period 1937-1940, it was useful during all the duration of the conflict. This vehicle was also used as mobile mounting for the anti-aircraft gun Flak 38. Astonishing fact, the four wheels gave the steering. The wheels (of help) mounted on sides, made it possible to the vehicle to pass hard places without hanging the chassis. Any kinds of conversions of this very widespread vehicle were produced, like ambulances, a luxurious car of command for high ranked (Kommandeurwagen Kfz.21), of the stations mobile radios...

Between 1941 and 1944, a total of 12450 Steyr 1500 A were produced in Austria. Car-union with Sigmar and Audi with Zwickau produce 5600 in Germany of them.
