Join the My Red Deer Web Ring and increase traffic to your site. There is no membership required and it's simple and free. Simply create and email your banner to Griphon Media and copy and paste the below code into the bottom of your webpage.
There are many ways to increase traffic to your site, however this method is free (from this site at least) and it works in two ways. First, some of the internet's best search engines really like reciprocal links. This means, (i.e) it does not help if you link to Microsoft but Microsoft does not link to you. Return links have to be on both sites.
Secondly, the more sites that join a web ring the more people see your banner. This of course increases the chances viewers will visit your site.
The MY RED DEER WEB RING is custom designed and meant to service the physical and regional area of Red Deer and central Alberta. This means that the majority of banners diplayed on participating sites will be from Red Deer area businesses and individuals - not a company in Europe, South America etc. ! This ring also caters to the small business, who otherwise can not afford the resources to give them a good rating on the web.
The script placed at the bottom of your page references your banners placed behind the scenes at Griphon Media. The script uses a random banner. After inserting this code in your webpage, there will never be a need to update it. The banner object will look to Griphon Media's site for new banners and updated information.
Highlight the entire code in the box below. Right click and choose copy. This copies the code to your clipboard. Open up your desired webpage (the page your banner will appear on) using Windows Notepad or similiar html editor. Scroll to bottom of page and find an area before you see the </body> tag. Place your cursor just before this last </body> tag, right click and choose paste. Save and upload your edited page. Posting the banner on your site is required in order to be part of this web ring.
Email us your banner and webpage link. Or, conversely email us the URL where your banner can be found. Banners can not be larger than 50kb and must be in .gif, animated .gif or a .jpg. The dimensions must also be 468x60. Logos and brief descriptions of what you or your company does must be what the banner is about. This is not an Ad-Ring or a place to get free advertising! This banner ring is for site promotion and not individual and weekly specials.
One banner per company and new banners should be posted between 1 and 3 working days. If you need assistance Griphon Media will make flash banners for you for a small fee.
Please note: To prevent advertising specials being frequently posted, changes to your banner must be for one of two reasons:
1. Your URL has changed
2. There is something drastically and aesthetically wrong with your banner.
