Sites you can visit in Gothenburg=Göteborg


IMPORTANT NOTE= if ya travel by tram, bus, train be sure to have your ticket in your hand( you buy it at the front from the driver) because the ones that comes sometimes on and check it are most times cranky be sure not to loose your ticket)

Avenyn

the city's "paradgata" filled with restaurants and some clubs (however clubs you need to be a specific age to get in) some hotels(however probably very expensive.)

Poseidons statue on Göta platsen

here you also find the city theatre, artmuseum, concertshouse, further down you find the city libary

Stora Teatern (=Big Theatre directly translated!)

it lies on Kungsportsavenyn ( further down Avenyn)

A ride on PADDAN boat through channel

you find it on Kungsportsavenyn a bit further down then Stora Teatern ( IT COSTS ALOT but on a sunny summer day it is worth it)

Kopparmärra

Liseberg a funfair

lies on Södra vägen you cant miss it! *lol*(Expensive if ya want to go on the rides and other things, used to have excellent waffles!)

Skansen Krona

lies on Skansberget, it is now a museum, it costs, but worth visiting at least once! and it has lovely viewpoints where you can view most of the city

Harbour

have ferries to the other side of Gothenburg and also boats going to some islands and boats that go to Älvsborgs fästning, Vinga, and many more places

Saltholmen

you get there by travelling by tram ( or perhaps bus) it COSTS to go by tram or by bus or by train around here! make sure you pay and ask in the first carriage (ASK THE DRIVER!) when you get there you can go by boat to many islands

Älfsborgsfästning

Get there by boat, some other

Trädgårdsföreningen

pay a bit of sum, there you can see flowers, and there is a butterfly house ( also pay a bit of money to get in there) that is a must! to go into there and look at all the beautiful butterflies!
