Creating a Background Texture using Linear Gradient in PSP 6

The assignment: to post a sample created from tutorial (i.e using your name). This could either be a small or the background for your page.

You or someone you know is getting married very soon! Using the techniques learned in the studz session, please create a wedding invitation using both images and text.

The sample of backgrounds:

 

     I realized that for the good background I should to do large image (400x400) and cut out the name once. In other way I used to get backgrounds divided in to squares (6 and 12) or into sashes (the background 2 and 4). I think only backgrounds 1,4,8 more or less suit for the background although I am not satisfied with them. Maybe there are other tricks?
