Aaahhhh. Energon PVC. And with a fairly complicated color layout to boot.

Scavenger came in Act 10, the last of the SCF line. I wonder if the line was doing poorly before the Armada Acts, really... I mean, if the Armada ones weren't selling, is there any reason to think they wouldn't go back to G1, unless those were also selling poorly? Bit of a pity, really, since it's not like they were wanting for semimajor characters left undone. (Where's my Wreck-Gar, dammit?)

(Mind, I only get the Japanese versions on drastic discount or as free gifts. Heh.)

Whatever led up to it, Takara apprently decided to make some changes to the kind of plasticy stuff they made these out of. This entire wave is very soft and rubbery, easily bent. Thing is, I'm not really sure how this affects the pegs. They bend a lot easier, so if you just kind of tug, they give a little easier than the previous acts.

They seem to take paint just as well as the other stuff, though. I was worried about that. Mind, it might jsut be the pewter paint coating; I'm not sure how the paint would react to the straight plastic parts.

This one took longer than most to do, simply because so damn much of him is yellow, a paint which doesn't want to spread evenly or dry quickly. On the other hand, the end result does make him look more worn and constructiony, so hey.

And then there was the complication of what part should be roughly what gray. Complicated bugger, he is.

Be nice if we had some Energon PVCs to go with him.

And yes, once again I made up the bio entirely. Well, okay, not entirely... he's inspired by the dwarves from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. Especially the lack of humor. To them, irony is just a kind of metal.
