Armada Thundercracker amuses me in many ways, really. Mainly in the original intent of the figure (new character), and how he ended up in the cartoon (powered-up form of Starscream who conveniently looks like another Decepticon AND somewhat matches the written-as-another-character bio on the official Transformers site).
Mind you, I'm fairly hoping that this is the LAST time we see a new Starscream mold redone into Thundercracker and Skywarp. If we must have T-Cracker and 'Warp back, I want them to be new molds. At least extensive remolds like Armada Skywarp was, but ideally, completely new molds.
The Starscream PVC has a weird torso. It's pretty clearly two pieces, but it seems they've been glued together. Painting it and the cockpit area up would have been a lot easier would I have been able to take it apart, but oh well. A thin brush did the job, ultimately.
There's really not a whole lot to be said for painting this one. There really weren't any truly difficult parts, the paints didn't behave weirdly. Well, no more than normal.
Once again, the faction logo decals
I love the red face. I think that's a wonderful piece of color design there. Too many guys with silver/gray/gold faces. VIVA VARIETY!
