The character Monocle was created by Douglass Kern, by the way. I figured if I tried to apply any other character to this repaint, I'd never hear the damned end of it.
Man, the Microman version of the Perceptor mold was dull, dull, dull. The Transformers coloration is certainly superior. There's only so much solid black I can stand.
Perceptor's another PVC with a part that doesn't want to stay on. Like his assortment-buddy Wheeljack, it's the shoulder-cannon. His head gets in the way, so you have to have his cannon at an odd angle.
I'm so glad there's sculpted detailing representing the toy's decals on this puppy. It's He really doesn't have a load of color without them. And hell, even WITH them, he's pretty bland.
I wish there was more to say about painting this. Vast swatchs of black, gray and silver. Whooooopeeeee.
So let's talk about Energon. Doesn't it rock? I love this toyline.
