Powerlinx Hot Shot is rather interesting, as it looks like he's wearing leather pants. Oh baby. The Japanese version of PX Hot Shot only paints his belt black, apparently, but I rather like the slightly more radical color layout change of the US version.

Hot Shot here was the last PVC I painted with my old jar of Blood Red paint. It was too far gone and tacky by the time I got done. I realize you all proably don't give a damn. But I'm telling you anyway. The vast amounts of red on this one meant a lot of going back and heavy dollops of paint. In other words: big pain in the ass.

WhY My SHoUldERs HurT?

I kind of wish that there was more oppotunity to detail-paint out that axle assembly. There's some great detailing on the actual toy that can be turned into techy stuff and lit readouts. It doesn't quite work here. Oh well.

It doesn't show up horribly well on the photo, but I even painted the gold flame deco on his hood/inner boots. It actually turned out pretty damn nice.

I wish the Armada PVCs had come with their Mini-Cons. That would have rocked. Might have made up for the complete lack of assembler parts in those Acts.

On that note, I'm still mildly confused as to why the Armada PVCs were never brought over here. You'd tink they'd have made cool pack-in premiums for a chain-exclusive. Though I can easily see free/cheap Mini-Cons being far more appealing to kids.
