Let me get the obvious out of the way and note that the Omega Supreme PVC has the face of an inflatable sex doll.

I have a theory that it's to distract people from his horrible right arm. It'd be fine if the connection was the same on his left arm, so it'd look like an actual normal pose.

I am not fond of Omega's animation model. Mind, I'm not fond of a lot of the pre-movie animation models, though the second year I find typically more tolerable. Mostly it's his legs. Why couldn't he have the tiny thighs and massive boots they gave Ramjet & company?

But Omega looks terrific next the the animation models for Guardian Robot. Holy gods. The stench of Floro Dery is upon him. He's a dumpy thing. (Guardian, I mean. I have no idea if Dery is dumpy.) It's an ugly, ugly cartoon model with a really uninspired color scheme.

Though I do rather like how the side-bits on his torso get extra color. Almost makes up for his boots being solid blue. Not quite, but almost.

This is one of those repaints I do more out of some imagined contractual obligation to do "real" TF recolors as opposed to concepts (like Devil Gigatron) first, rather than any real desire to have the PVC in these colors. Also, I was looking for PVC molds I hadn't already recolored. I've got bumblebees oput the wazoo, and soon I'm gonna be near-swimming in Skyraiders. Need a little variety.

I don't think the Guardian Robot was ever shown from the back, so I mainly guessed at the colors, in a "what would make it look less crappy" mindset. There's no real good pictures of their head-cannons, so I went with dark gray.

Speaking of, I waffled on painting the dark gray parts solid black, wondering if the dark gray was there to "represent" black if there was actually a toy of the GR, since the cartoon uses dark gray for black on most characters. But dark gray won out.

I did, however, go more "toylike" by painting his light gray cartoon bits silver instead. I can't think of any pre-movie TF toy whose face was light gray rather than silver, offhand.

Man, I wish he had more color variety.
