Galvatron was head and shoulders a more interesting charcter than Megatron. Of course, this is not hard... G1 Meggy was a huge boring bully Dumbass. Galvy wasn't all that smart himself, but he was frickin' INSANE, and in the words of Max (of "Sam &" fame), I really respect that. "Webwolrd" is one of the best episodes of Transformers ever, as far as I'm concerned.

Now, I'd like to point out that I don't much like the Galvatron PVC. Those hip-plates are just badly-designed, as you can't put them on fully thanks to both his thighs and torso-piece getting in the way. Also, having the gun out to the side is just a bit awkward.

At any rate, this one is, as you might notice, based on the toy's color scheme, which is also (dimly) what the comic books used when Galavtron appeared. It strikes me as more... Megatronny, really. Also, I've always liked it when the TF's face is darker than their surrounding helmet. It's not done often enough.

I repainted his purple bits, having finally found a color that matches the toy's better than "Liche Purple". Oddly enough, Citadel Colours calls it "Nauseating Blue". No, I don't get it either. But at any rate, it's a near-perfect match. Also gave me an excuse to do some more touch-ups, like fixing the red paint and places where the gray wasn't quite as even.

It was kind of interesting comparing the details from toy to cartoon model, and trying to line up which parts should be what colors, like on the shoulder-thingies. Kind of. If you're into that kind of thing. Hell, I don't know. Forget I even brought it up.

(Stupid red paint.)
