I like Cyclonus. He's CA-RAAAAAZY. Don Brown very clearly has a ball voicing him. I want him at OTFC sometime. "Oh JOY!!!" I'm so glad he's back in Energon, even if only briefly (so far).
Cyc's PVC is very... odd. His poor butt is really, really long, so they had to point it backwards. And even THEN, he's standing on his tippi-toes. Which means he doesn't so much as stand as tripod precariously. Like he can't relax his ankles or else he'll fall on his face. Plus the guns imbedded in his heels are nowhere to be seen.
I can appreciate Takara trying to put the guys in new poses, honestly. But... this is a little silly. On the other hand, it's not as terrible as Ginrai or Road Ceasar's poses.
I really don't like the soft, rubbry plastic the final Act of PVCs used. On the one hand, I don't have to worry about the pegs snapping off in the sockets. On the other... there's too MUCH give, really. They feel weird.
This is an excercise in paints not QUITE matching. The Bilious Green is a smidge light, the Scorched Brown not red enough, but there's little to be done there. And I'm too lazy to mix paints.
I'm not up to trying to replciate paint-washes, but I didn't want blank undetailed light green. So, I split the difference. I bought both the Bilious and Goblin greens at the same time, not sure which would be better for Cyc. the Goblin Green was way too dark, but worked great for the detailing. So, all the explosed-machinery bits on the toy that show up on the PVC, I painted Goblin.
I really should get my hands on another one of these for his Energon colors. Yeah, they're pretty dull. But hey.
