This falls under the category headed "Quick And Easy Repaints". There wasn't enough G2 going on here for my tastes. But there's only so many eligible molds, dammit.
I wonder why Bumblebee didn't really do much of anything in the G2 comics. Maybe Furman was just never wild about him. He seems to have written more stories with Goldbug than Bumblebee, actually. B.B. really only showed up for "I have a new toy now" stories.
Mind, the G2 books did a really lousy job of advertising the toys anyway.
But uh... yeah. This one was simple, since I didn't touch any of the parts originally black on the PVC. I did, however, add black to several parts to make him more toylike, namely the arms and back.
I realize 'Bee's more towards chromed yellow than gold, but eh. Had to make him look different beyond just making him shiny.
I dunno why I kept the crotch gold. Maybe because the toy itself had no crotch, so there was room for interpretation. It DOES help keep him visually distinct from Glyph and Bug Bite, so hey.
Part of me wanted to give him some bigass gun to match the G2 comic art style. But who? What fist would FIT in that arm? And he certainly couldn't support the weight. Hell, he leans forward pretty heavy as it is.
I don't know what I'm gonna do with these extra Spikes. I have a Buster, and don't really think I'm up to trying to turn them into Rad or Carlos...
