Transformers Legend of the Microns : Linkage

In Japan, the Transformers Micron Legend (aka Armada) DVDs each come with exclusive recolored Mini-Cons, as well as a four-page comic book penned and drawn by my personal god, Hirofumi Ichkawa. "Linkage" not only follows the story of these new Mini-Cons, but fills in some of the background of the series, explaining the science of the Mini-Con race and their behavior.

Of course, these comics are in Japanese. But now, thanks to scripts provided by Ichikawa himself (along with notes on how he wants characters to be translated), and translations by Doug Dlin, the story of Linkage is available in English for all to enjoy. (Well, all who read English.)

Of course, this is by no means a discouragement to buying the DVDs. The new Mini-Con Teams are excellent. Your best bet is Amazon Japan. They do ship to the US, they do have an English language version of the site. However, the DVD pages themseves aren't. You're gonna need Japanese character support. Do a search for ????? under DVDs and get ready! Plus you can save a little bit by pre-ordering... and giventhe cost, every little bit helps.

	Linkage: Part 6 Carrying the storage panel contianing her teammate, Falcia heads for the rendezvous with Combusta. But she's intercepted by the Speed Chasers in their combined Magnawing jet form. 	Linkage: Part 7 Redline and Falcia take a risk in order to save Twirl's life; by combining their energies to enter the Linkage, the communal mind of all dormant Mini-Cons, they hope to be able to find her mind and return it to the physical world before it dissipates. 	Linkage: Part 8 Servo reunites with Rollbar, who's joined the Autobots. He warns him and High Wire of what Redline saw inside the Linkage, and the threat it could hold to all Transformers. Meanwhile, the Speed Chasers have new allies; the Aqua Raider Team, and a sinister, double-dealing Transformer who has already given Autobot, Decepticon and Mini-Con alike much grief.... 	Linkage: Part 9 Bilge takes point he and Freeboot attack the Mini-Cons' ship, only to find it empty. They soon find out why; Redline has used the equipment to begin a process that will unlock the Mini-Cons' potential powers, just as the "upgrades" have done, while maintaining their free will... and leading him that much closer to the legendary Master Key. 	Linkage: Part 10 Ravenus is let loose on the Mini-Cons, his enhanced abilities allowing him to snare Servo and Twirl. Stella cuts in with a way for the Mini-Cons to fight Ravenus off, while Redline tells Combusta his plan. Ravnus retreats, but with Twirl still Powerlinxed to him. Sunburn tends to her Aqua Raider teammates, only to end up facing a very ticked-off and super-powered Combusta.... Page One Page Two Page Three Page Four
	Linkage: Part 11 Redline chases after Ravenus, who has run off with Twirl captive. Realizing that the future of all Mini-Cons is at stake should Ravenus escape and complete the Speed Chasers' plan, she awakens the Mini-Cons within the final panels. As Flat-Out interrogates the Aqua Raiders, the powerful Kingbolt arrives, freeing Twirl from the monster... but warns them that he is not what they thought.... Page One Page Two Page Three Page Four
	Linkage: Part 12 More upgraded Mini-Cons join in containing Ravenus, forcing the Speed Chaser and Aqua Raider Teams to retreat, despite Impulsor's attempts to keep them prisoner. With the Doomstone separated from Ravenus, Redline takes a risk to contain its energies... and preserve the souls of those trapped within it. Stella finds she now has to say goodbye to her close friends, who are leaving with the Autobots to take the fight to the dark one Unicron.... Page One Page Two Page Three Page Four
	Linkage: Part 13 Stella waits for a sign from her departed friends, dreaming of reuniting, and Redline's plan of a place where Mini-Cons could be at peace. But as she does, the Mini-Cons, Autobots and Decepticons face off against the ultimate evil, Unicron. As the Hazard Team, Sonic Assault Team and the reformed Ravenus tackle Unicron's Dead-End hordes alongside the "Bulks", the Super Stunt Team face off one last time against the Speed Chaser and Aqua Raider Teams....
