IMITATION STUFF

Gotta love awful English translations, doncha? Hard-plastic versions of the RockMan X3 Power Buster toys.

Heavily altered figurines from the American MegaMan line. Each two-pack also comes with a battle base that you plug the figurines onto, and make them fight by pushing the lever on each end forward and back... the figures spin around as they move, trying to knock the other off their peg.

These kits are rip-offs of the RockMan X3 figure line with lower-quality plastic (but suprisingly higher quality than most ripoff items). They are in the same scale and fully compatible with the real thing. Some are straight rip-offs, while others delve into odd variations.

Ah, now here's your traditional rip-off item. Half again as big as the real thing, the cheapest grade of plastic possible, incredibly sloppy paint job, and shoddy packaging featuring art from the wrong series.

Very much like the oversized figures... the same production quality all around, but now compatable with the real figures.

Each carded figure comes with two sets of armor in varying states of completion... any armor set with an arm cannon only comes with one normal arm. The same size as the Bandai figures, though much lower quality.

This set uses nearly exact copies of the Bandai X2 Battle Brushers figurines, but uses a battle base just like the one from the "Robot Fighters" playsets listed above.

Now, THIS is interesting. They appear to be a combination of keychain and Battle Brushers ripoffs and miniature versions of the "Power Buster" toys. Even more interesting is that they're not from a single game... there are characters and armors from X2, X3 and even the MegaMissions stories.

A four-pack of mismatched-color imitations of the four heroes of RockMan 8.

This garishly-colored hollow-plastic lantern lights up and plays something close to "It's A Small World After All" through a tinny, awful-sounding speaker. Wow.

An actually very nice inflatable balloon of X, with a special light that plugs into the top, made for the Chinese Lantern Festival.

These large friction-motor cars are decorated with images from X4 and the X-manga, though the decals say "RockMan X3". If anyone can identify the car types, please do...

- TRON NO MANMA : Professional manga creator Johji Manabe (Outlanders, Caravann Kidd, Drakuun) pens this 54-page B&W book starring Tron Bone.
- DENNO BUTOMUSUME : A five-volume doujinshi series, each one roughly 150 pages long, with stories based on numerous video games, RockMan DASH included. I don't know which volume has the RockMan story, I'm looking into it.
