Q - What qualifies for inclusion in this site?
A - In a nutshell, anything with MegaMan/RockMan plastered on it that isn't a game for a console system or computer. Action figures, comic books, school supplies, clothing, foodstuffs, teeny electronic games, you name it. Even imitation items are included, no matter how goofy or poorly-made.

Q - So how about game hint books or store displays?
A - Well, okay, I draw the line there too, they're not included. For now. I am leaning heavily towards including store displays on this site... perhaps you can convince me to make the call.

Q - How about bootleg videos, laserdiscs and CDs?
A - Not those, either. I realize that it's a little odd to include the imitation/bootleg toys but not those. But that's how it is.

Q - So if you list doujinshis, which are Japanese fan-comics, will you list my fan-comic?
A - Well, if you sold it, say, at one of the friggin' huge Japanese doujinshi conventions, then yeah. It's a matter of the market... in the doujinshi market, millions of dollars change hands every year, and conventions with attendance rivaling the population of some major cities take place. If the American fanzine market ever reaches that level (hah!), we'll talk.

Q - What's with those codes beside the CDs and books?
A - Those are the catalog numbers. Those numbers will make ordering specific books and CDs from import stores a lot easier.

Q - I found something you don't have on the site! Can I email you a picture?
A - Just email me about it in plain text first, with no pictures attached. (My normal email machine takes a while to download even small pictures.) I'll letcha know if I need a picture of it, and where you can send it to.

Q - Are you selling any of these?
A - No no no NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. I'm only selling my personal collection if I'm strapped for cash and immediately need a new lung or kidney or something. And I haven't the time or money to become a dealer. In the off-chance I do have something extra to sell, I'll put it up one eBay and announce it on the main Megalopolis page. Ask me about the Stores section...

Q - Okay, I'll bite... what's this Stores section?
A - I'm glad you asked. That section contains the web & email addresses for many online stores and dealers that carry MegaMan/RockMan merchandise, presented in alphabetical order. I strongly encourage you to check every site and shop around for the best prices before you buy from any of them. I won't endorse any of these stores over any other, nor will I say which store has the best prices, mostly in the interest of fairness.

Q - So what if a store rips me off?
A - Email me. I'll keep track and if I hear enough bad reports about a store, I'll put a warning note beside the link. (By this I mean if I hear enough reports from several different people, and I will check up with the store the complaints are lodged against. An email flood from one peeved customer won't cut it.) I will only remove stores from the section if they go out of business or if they themselves tell me they won't be carrying any MegaMan/RockMan merchandise in the future.
Before we move on, I must emphasize that you only email me about sour deals after you've exhausted every possibility... namely contacting the store in question, calling UPS (if that's how it was supposed to be shipped), whatever. Don't get pissed and email me about how some store ripped you off if the package didn't arrive yesterday, or if you never contacted the company after the initial purchase. Sometimes packages arrive later than expected or get lost in the mail. Follow up.

Q - Where can I find stuff outside of online stores?
A - Though online stores are probably your best bet, you do have some other options depending on where you live.

• Try any video game stores, especially those that carry import games.
  
• If you have any Chinatowns or Oriental stores around, try there. And if they don't have any RockMan stuff, then if they have groceries you can at least pick up some delicious Pocky.
  
• Flea markets and garage sales are iffy at best, but you can sometimes find stuff. I've made some abso-friggin-lutely amazing finds at flea markets, though they weren't RockMan stuff. But still.
  
• You might want to try some of the USENET toy marketplace groups... I don't know what they are, but I'm sure they're out there. (I am generally more suprised to find that certain newsgroups don't exist...)
  
• And of course, there's always eBay. Lord knows what you'll find up for auction there or what you could end up paying for it, but there's usually something going on.

Q - Can't you get a better picture for (insert item here)?
A - Well... no, not really. If I had better pictures I'd put them up. While I certainly could do larger pictures, tht doesn't mean the quality will be any better, plus I only have so much space for now.

Q - What happened to the CD smaples?
A - I took 'em down. Fourtune City doesn't allow the use of MP3s on their web sites, and while I don't agree with that policy, it is their service so I have to play by their rules. (At least they're not demanding complete ownership of my content!) Maybe someday later I'll have a different server that allows MP3s, but until then, sorry. Plus there's always that pesky "space available" issue...

Q - When's the next update?
A - Sometime before the grass grows red and the oceans turn to yogurt.
No, seriously, I can't put a specific date on any updates. Sometimes there simply isn't anything new for a while, most of the time I'm just strapped for time. Check back, any updates will be noted on the main page.
