Ah, the beloved Michiru-What to say about her? She’s a quiet, beautiful, intelligent artist, with a soft sense of humor. Michiru descends from a wealthy family, and to top it all of: She’s got great hair! Michiru has a sense of grace about her, and can also be described as compassionate, mature, and lady-like. A tenth grade student at Mugen Gauken High, she plays the violin professionally, and loves painting and swimming.

Michiru is also the reincarnation of the Princess of Neptune, and she transforms into the elegant fighter, Sailor Neptune. In this appearance and as an outer scout, she is seen as more rigid and distant from the inner soldiers. Some say her coldness comes from resentment for becoming a scout. Others claim she’s only cold when searching for the Talismans, the task she must complete-You decide...

The last piece of Michiru, is her commitment to Haruka. In the American dub of Sailor Moon, Amara and Michelle *only time I use English names!!! I SWEAR!* are said to be only cousins but, hints of a deeper relationship are dropped throughout the series. In the Japanese manga, Haruka and Michiru share a romantic bond, although it isn’t openly admitted to the other scouts. Michiru and Haruka both put their own lives on the line in the sake of their lover, numerous times.
