Upcoming Clan Wars There are no scheduled clan wars, please sign up in the Clan Wars & Tryouts page if you represent another clan. Upcoming Clan Practices There will be no scheduled clan practices until further notice. New Information 12-29-04 First, I'd like to explain some stuff to all you guys. First of all, I apologize for the lack of more changes to the website, I realize that it's not very good at the moment, but I'm going to try some stuff, and hopefully it'll work. I'm going to incorporate some of the BF1942 fan site materials into it, hopefully that will increase the aesthetical value. If not, oh well, Flash is not my bag, at least not with website creation, for some reason it's just... a hella lot more complicated than it should be. Ok, second thing. Yes, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Red Faction have been ousted. UT2003, I don't have to explain or apologize much for that, because we have no members that actually play that. It was overly modded, and it just... was very hard to play with all the downloads that occurred when trying to enter any game. Red Faction. Yes, I have some 'splaining to do. Well, to all of my Red Faction guys, I'm sorry, but you know what? I haven't heard from you guys, in the last 4 months, or even before that. So you have nothing to complain about, other than your own lack of participation. Another thing? I'm sorry for sounding like a jerk, but Red Faction players are the hardest to deal with. A majority of our members without contact information, or complete member profiles are Red Faction players. If anyone has tried to recruit in that game, holy mother of God. The people think they are Godlike, when in reality, they suck. They suck, and we ask them out of pure kindness to join, because they seem decent. No, of course not. They think we're a crappy clan or whatever, when in reality, our members playing are scoring the highest scores. Not to mention that, they act like jackasses. Ok, sorry to go off on a tangent, but yeah, that's the main reasons why I ditched Red Faction, the members.. just aren't talking, and the game is just.. too old. Ok, next item on the agenda. The Profiles page. If you look on that, you'll see that there is 2 active members, and the toon leaders (who I know all of them personally), and about 11 people on Probation. Well guys, the thing is, I haven't heard from you. So here is how it's going to go. Please send me an e-mail by January 31, 2005. That's one month you have. Send an e-mail, and please update your contact information as well as player profiles. If I do not receive an e-mail from you by January 31, 2005, from you, if you are on the probation list, you will be kicked out of the clan. I'm sorry, but it's no Big Forking Deal if you are kicked out, because, in case you haven't noticed, right now, we don't exactly have a need for a large clan population. We will not be recruiting until Battlefield 2 comes out. This is the next thing, the clan will be converting to Battlefield 2 when it comes out, as it is going to be the BF1942 killer, inevitably. There will be some sort of grace period for the members to upgrade to the new game, however, adding more people to this equation will just complicate the situation. We'll address that when the time comes though. Okay, well that's about all I had to say for now, sorry for going semi-schizo, but yeah. So yeah, just, if you're on probation, and would like to remain in the clan, please e-mail Motley Gamers ASAP, especially with your contact information, if I do not have it listed. Well, this is listed in the News section, and I tend to.. question whether people actually check the website or not, so, I'll e-mail this just to be on the safe-side. 8-20-04 Well gentlemen the first BF practice went well. Our clan now has 18 members. We would encourage all of our members to send in their information for their personal pages (check members pages for examples) and (if not complete) their contact information! Angry Texan, Kill4fun, and Bar all have been testing out the Forgotten Hope mod. While very realistic, we will not use the mod in our clan wars, but we recommend it if you are; a WWII junkie, have a strong bandwidth, plenty of RAM, and ample hard drive space. That's all for now. 8-11-04 There will be a Battlefield 1942 practice on Sunday August 15, at 1930 Eastern Standard Time. Have your Xfire on and be on the clan Teamspeak channel (206.741.74.94:9000). The practice will be revolve around different skills. The first server we will be on is a modified Coral Sea/Battle of Britain Map to work on flying skills, called USF Plane Hell 24/7. Afterwords we will head to a ground map, most likely El Alamein or Kharkov to work on team building and CTF skills. Any additional practice time will be designated by Angry Texan. And remember, if you need any additional practice contact Angry Texan for a one-on-one practice session. See you then. 7-16-04 Today was an EXCELLENT day for Motley Gamers, our clan nearly doubled in size, we received word from Narbuckle and ILL SCOUT, and AngryTexan recruited two people! Thanks guys for making this clan great. We have enough BF clan members to practice now. I will schedule a practice after the weekend is over! 7/10/04 After a meeting with the toon leaders and clan leaders, we have decided to drop Halo due to it's lacking performance in the multiplayer setting. Sorry for those of you who enjoyed it, we just decided that it was not a very good game for our clan. America's Army will possibly take Halo's place, we are currently investigating this, and the use of dedicated servers in it.
