MORESASH! IS DEAD! - March 9, 2005
Unfortunately I have decided to quit considering MoreSASH! a running project.
This does not mean a big difference from the current situation, but will explain
why the sites has not been updated for a while. I have two reasons that made
me decide to quit:
First, I've been pretty annoyed about the current server. In the beginning
the site was located at Go.com and moved lateron to FreeOnLine.nl, with
little or no adverts. When
I
was forced to leave FOL, I quickly picked FortuneCity.com to load the site
onto. At the start the adverts only consisted of a certain amount of Pop-ups,
which were annoying but still reasonably fine. After a while they changed
their policy,
and therefore put banners on each single page while they still had pop-ups.
This caused the design to mess up completely, and started to annoy me terribly
while visiting my site. Now it looks like such a big mess that I don't
feel like spending hours and hours on moving to another server for just
a small
audience. This apart from the fact that I'm not so much into making webpages
anymore.
Secondly, my interest in the phenomenon "SASH!" has decreased immensely over the years. After the album Trilenium, which I truely loved, I lost the feeling that SASH! is an interesting DJ with ever refreshing tracks. Perhaps it's because I got a little older, or because I have the feeling that their music got stuck in the mid, or late 1990s. Though I may still have the hope for them to produce a more decent album that does not contain cheesy pop-dance tracks but something that's better adapted to the sound of this age, which doesn't necesarrily have to be rap or hip-hop.
Anyway, I will let the current site remain online until fortunecity removes it. If I feel like it, I will possibly start removing dead links, or editing them. Though perhaps SASH! will release a very cool record later this year which would make me feel like totally reviving the site, we'll see. Goodbye for now at least.
