PROGRAMMING THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK FEATURE

This feature will lock all doors when the vehicle reaches a forward speed
of 16 MPH. It is usually turned off at the factory. On some newer Chrysler
built vehicles, the feature must be activated by the dealer or a repair
shop using the DRB scan tool.

Here is the procedure from a 1994 Caravan owner's manual:

1. Close all doors.

2. Place the key in the ignition, in the OFF position, for at least 20
   seconds.

3. Turn the key between the OFF and ON position for a total of 4 times
   ending up in the OFF position (do not start the engine).

4. Press the power door lock button to lock the doors.

   This should activate (or deactivate) the rolling door locks.

It has been pointed out that this procedure does not work on the 1991 through 1993 model vans.
The DRB II must be used to enable/disable the automatic door lock system.  This can be done by
the dealer or an independant shop.
