Foundation: The school official opened its doors on the first day of the first term of 1989 to 220 8th and 9th graders, twelve members of staff, a secretary, caretaker and two general assistants. Inauguration: The Executive director of Education of that time, Dr SW Walters, officially inaugurated the school on the 29th of April 1992. From this day onwards this day were considered the school’s official birthday. The name of the school: The name of the school refers to the Parks (residential areas) of Kraaifontein, the situation of the school in a park-like environment, and that the school serves as a monument to education and learning. It is with gratitude, that we acknowledged the part played by the first vice-principal, Mr. Theo Boshoff, in the formulation of the school’s name. School
Badge:
Three symbols appear on
the school badge: Pillars of Education, The Flame of Hope and the House groups: The School’s learners are divided up into three house groups by means of their Surnames. All surnames A-G is in the group called Constantia whose color is white; the surnames H-O is in Joostenberg, which color is Blue and the surnames from P-Z is in Kronendal which is red. All the names of the house groups are of historical farms in the area, of which Constantia are most famous for its export-quality Shiraz. School song: Mr. and Mrs. Dirkie de Villiers composed the school song in 1989 Afrikaans
