Ken Beattie is an Australian gentleman who writes some fine stories, one of which we have reprinted here at LfO. Some others can be found at his always-in-progress website at Skrybe.
He is also an accomplished programmer, and his site contains much javascript, if your browser can support such (there is also a version that doesn't have quite so much script if it can't). He has reviews and other interesting things there, and it is well-worth the investigation.
