Synopsis:

Warworld is coming… and earth is the battleground.

Having taken complete control of Warworld, Brainiac and his allies: Maxima, Draaga, and a mind-possessed Matrix prepare to conquer Earth and exact their revenge on Superman. Having been forewarned of the coming invasion by Orion and Lightray, Superman gathers all available super-heroes to defend Earth and take the fight to Warworld. In a surprising turn of events, Supergirl is freed from Brainiac's control, as Maxima and Draaga turn against him. Brainiac is nearly "lobotomized" in a final confrontation with Maxima. In the aftermath of the battle, the leadership of Warworld is temporarily filled in by Orion. Maxima returns to Earth and becomes a member of the Justice League, as the Matrix permanently adopts the mantle of Supergirl in honor of the fallen Draaga, and heads towards Earth to start over.
