Background:
In the time before glasnost, the Soviet government, concerned over the number of super-beings in the U.S., decided to create a regiment of armored superhumans to reestablish the balance of power. The Rocket Red brigade were always defenders of their country. After the united Nations granted the Justice League special permission to act as an international peace-keeping force, Rocket Red # 7, Vladimir Mikoyan, joined the League as its official Soviet member. Mikoyan proved to be a robot- a Manhunter - bent on world conquest, and was destroyed. His replacement was Dmitri Pushkin, Rocket Red #4. during a mission on Apokolips, Dmitri gained a new, and more powerful armor. Dmitri was an active member of the JLE.
