Before he depowered himself Hourman was one of the most
powerful people to ever live. With the Worlogog he could arrange and
rearrange time at will, traveling anywhere and anywhen, even to other
possible timelines. His perception of time was also non-linear, his "Time
Vision" allowed him to control and sense how time effects people and
objects. In the normal course of things the immediate future was known to
him with the reliability of the knowledge fading with increased time from
the present. While able to traverse local time at will he normally used his
Timeship for deep time travel. When it was not being used he kept it "parked"amongst
the rings of Saturn.
Now he has depowered himself Hourman is limited to just a
single "Hour of Power." During that time he has access to his former Time
Vision and sensory abilities as well as his former ability to manipulate
time. Once the hour is up (as told by the hourglass on his chest) he has to
wait a further hour before he can have another.
In addition to his time powers Hourman also has the Miraco
abilities that were part of his Tyler heritage including super strength and
a measure of super speed. He is also more resilient that normal people and
like most heroes can fly. |

| Background: |
| Hourman is a two-year old android from the
853rd Century whose genetic software is patterned after the Miraclo-enhanced
DNA of Rex "Tick Tock" Tyler, the original Golden Age Hourman. Thus, while
this Hourman is a machine, he nonetheless qualifies as a 'descendant' of Rex
Tyler's. In the year 85,271 A.D., Metron of the New Gods will appoint the
young android as his heir and entrust him with the worlogog, an artifact
that can control and manipulate time itself. But Hourman forsook his post as
Metron's apprentice and traveled back to the 20th Century to explore his
human heritage alongside the Justice League. Hourman soon learned from harsh
experience that his omnipotence combined with his youthful naiveté presented
a great danger to humanity. He renounced the worlogog's full power, limiting
himself to the occasional "Power Hour" in which he can access some of the
worlogog's awesome time-manipulating abilities. Hourman now spends little
time with the heroes of the Justice League, preferring to pursue a course of
contemplation and self-discovery in the care of former JLA sidekick, Snapper
Carr. |
