Gypsy possesses the
ability to blend light around herself to appear to become invisible. She
also has picked up a great deal of martial arts knowledge from The Bronze
Tiger. |

| As the JLA moved to
Detroit, many youngsters joined the group, being one of them Gypsy. At
first, she kept the distance with the group, but his curiosity made her
break into the headquarters of the group, hardly escaping from the Martian
Manhunter. Some weeks later, she helped the JLA in a case and joined as
full time member. Shy and reserved, she hardly told anything about her
past, but her friend Vibe discovered that she had been living in the
streets stealing food and clothes to survive. Since she’s a very good
lier, that info is not very faithful. During Legend, she got pursued by
some droids from professor Ivo, but escaped and got home. As the JLA got
massacred by Despero, she decided to leave the hero-life and live as an
ordinary girl, but many time later Despero stroke again killing her family
and almost her, who was saved in the last second by J'onn. She was offered
to join Conglomerate, and accepted, returning to her hero tasks. Gypsy's
power consists of a chameleonic ability, although she doesn't change as
quickly as she would like, so as she moves from a background to other, her
appearance may be shocking. She also can product illusions in the living
beings minds, being very agile and specially good at electronics and
computers.
After
the break-up of Justice League Detroit,
she became a member of the corporate-sponsored
Conglomerate for a short time,
before joining J'onn as a permanent member of a special United Nations task
force of heroes, later helping him to train such youngsters as The Ray II.
She continues to operate as a hero, having recently gained the ability to
mimic the physical appearance of other people to a limited degree. It is
thought that this is due to either a near-death experience when working with
her friend or the brief period when the entire world gained super-powers to
fight Mageddon.
- Once a
runaway and pickpocket, she joined the JLA and reformed, remaining
with the group until they disbanded.
- When her
parents were killed, she re-established her connection with the JLA
and with J'onn J'onzz, with whom she had a special friendship up to
this day.
