Glory carried no weapons, for he believed a man's natural talents could
overcome all obstacles. He could lift a tank, run for days in the desert,
and possessed a small degree of invulnerability. |

| Background: |
|
Joe Jones, a soldier lost on French soil during the second world war, was
mysteriously granted powers by a vision of the Lady of Liberty. With
sidekick Ernie, he battled the Nazi hordes and then faded into obscurity. He
was assumed to have been only a comic book creation until his greatest fan,
Guy Gardner, rediscovered him and he returned to the limelight as a member
of the Justice League. He eventually died of a heart attack after reverting
to his non super-heroic form. |
