A brilliant physicist, Light invented several light-based weapons
and became a frequent foe of the Justice League and Teen Titans. After numerous
defeats, he developed a "why me?" persecution complex with respect to his
criminal acts. Light toyed with the idea of becoming a hero but was gunned down
for his efforts. He even gave up his villainous career for a time.
Old habits die hard, and Dr. Light once again turned to crime,
and was eventually trapped inside Green Lantern's power battery. Upon his
release, he found he was partially constructed of light. When Green Lantern Kyle
Rayner told him of the threat to the world from the Sun-Eater and asked his
help, Light fled to save his own skin.
Light fully returned to a life of crime following the crisis,
even aiding Lex Luthor in his gambit to destroy the JLA. Having fled when the
scheme fell apart, Light's current whereabouts are unknown. Should he ever get
his act together, Dr. Light could be a formidable and deadly foe. |
