As leader of the angel army known as the Bull Host, Asmodel once ranked highest among the Almighty's servants.

But in his hubris, Asmodel used this stature to wage war upon Heaven itself ... twice.

Fortunately, both the angel Zauriel and the mighty JLA stood between Asmodel and dominion over all Creation.

Asmodel's last costly attempt was made all the worse by the betrayal of his demonic ally, Neron.  Thus, it came as no surprise when Asmodel recently sided with the capricious Etrigan to overthrow Neron.  Asmodel bonded with the mighty Spectre and ascended to Earth along with Hell's demonic hordes in an attack that came to be known as the Day of Judgment.

Once again, however, the metahuman and mystic defenders of Earth united to defeat Asmodel's schemes.

Now, the former Lord of the Bull Hose remains in the custody of his fellow angels, the first prisoner Heaven has ever known.
