| Teth Adam was the original successor to the
wizard Shazam. As the protector
of the ancient world he called on the power of six Egyptian gods. However
"Mighty Adam" was corrupted by the power and styled himself after the Pharaoh.
Releasing his mistake Shazam defeated and banished Adam. Years later a man also
called Adam working for the corrupt Sivana murdered the parents of
Billy Batson in order to steal
Egyptian antiquities for his employer. In the process he was taken over by the
power of Black Adam and the villain was reincarnated. Since then Black Adam has
repeatedly clashed with Baston's alter ego, Captain Marvel. Black Adam shares
the same powers as Captain Marvel but none of the morals or humility. |
