The future Batman uses many methods based on the originals arsenal yet updated with 853rd century technology. These included Datarangs which are virtual projectiles that place a marker on a persons genetic code which allows Batman to track them anywhere in the System. The arsenal extends to his costume that includes teleportation capabilities modeled on the New Genesisan Boom Tube, it all also allows him to project "Avatars" (holographic duplicates of himself capable to independent thought). He can also fly by using technology manipulate the local gravitational field. Batman himself is a skilled martial artist and has an IQ of 1045.

Background:

The legacy of the Batman began in the twentieth century when Bruce Wayne created the identity of Batman to avenge the death of his parents. he faced a legion of criminal masterminds such as the original Joker and Two-Face. Along with a number of sidekicks each called Robin Batman protected Gotham City for decades. Little is known of his successor, Batman II, except that he managed to reform Two-Face II by proving over the course of his career that he had made more positive decisions with his coin than negative ones. After that the mantel of the Bat passes into legend.

The mantle of the Bat would not be passed father to son as in the Superman Dynasty, rather it would be reawakened a new each time an innocent was wronged or a child saw their parents murdered before them. For eons the process continued until the 853rd century. At that time mankind had colonized the entire System and all humanity was linked by the artificial telepathy of Headnet. It was a world where many of the legends were recreated and life occurred on a scale and with a pace that few previous civilizations could conceive.

The System chief prison was the remote planet Pluto. There the most unrepentant tyrants, those that could not be reformed and the insane beyond help were deposited and watched over by an army of Warders and their families. It all worked well until the entire warden population were sent insane by the Laughing Virus (a virus created by an ancient version of the Joker) and released the locks on the containment habitats. The released inmates ran amok and before long the strongest of them had taken charge.

In retribution for the imprisonment the inmates rounded up all the warders and their families then separates out the fifteen thousand children and forced them to watch the prolonged massacre of their parents. In the following days many of the children committed suicide, other were traumatized for life but one child vowed to let nothing like that ever happen again. Over the following years he would train himself physically and mentally to assume the mantle of the Bat, to become the Batman of the 853rd century.

In a long haul this Batman would restore order to Pluto from his Batcave Tesseract at the heart of the prison planet. A high tech net of lethal security devices would keep the prisoners in and other out leaving Batman the sole warder of evils such as Riddle City, the Dice-God and the Laughter. However Batman found that he needed a partner in his battles (despite his membership of the Justice Legion A). He created an android pattered after the original Batman's sidekick programmed with his own childhood personality and memories from before the massacre.

When the Justice Legion traveled into the deep past Batman joined them so he could exchange places with Batman Prime. For a time he was trapped there by the Hourman Virus and had to team up with Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and Robin III (Tim Drake) to locate necessary components to combat the Virus. Meanwhile in the 853rd century Batman Prime with the help of Robin M* and Catwoman M* managed to dodge the inmates of Pluto set loose by Solaris. Once the threats in both eras had past the Batmen were restored to their correct times, leaving Batman M* the task to taming Pluto all over again.
