The Speed Force is an extra-dimensional energy field that is the source of power for speedsters. Human speedsters act as conduits for the Speed Force. Speedsters with a close link to the Speed Force such as Wally West and Savitar can control speed and the flow of Speed Force energy. When a speedster goes too fast they jump into the Speed Force. This either allows them to travel in time/hypertime or they are consumed by it. The depths of the Speed Force act as a Valhalla for dead speedsters with Barry Allen and Johnny Quick both residing there. The Speed Force seems to exist somewhere between science and myth with a number of parallels with the Source of the New Gods.
